Polka- dotted baby *UPDATE*

So my dh took her to the doc and came home saying the doctor was blaming it on her clothing. I was TICKED. I knew it was not from her clothing. So an hour later, it had SPREAD and was on her face and everything. I was spiting nails by this time. I finally called the doc office and told them how UNsastisfied I was with their diagnosis, especially since it had since spread viciously. They suggested I give her a 1/2 tsp of Benadryl and bring her back tomorrow if she still had the hives. Well not another hour later after the medicine they were clearing up! YAAAAAAAY!
So, still no idea what caused them in the first place but I am relieved the Benadryl worked.
I know I have an obsession with polka dots but on my baby girl's body...not so much.
She has been sick since Sunday and today has all these spots all over her little bum, legs, arms, back, and tummy.

Ah, poor darling? Is she running a fever or have any other 'symptoms'?

It's not pox or measels but I do think it is Roseola. She had flu-like symptoms and as soon as those went away the rash came on. That happend with one of our other kids as a baby and it was roseola. It doesn't seem to bother her at all and she is running around like a happy girl again. Sure looks miserable though huh? I called the doctor just to ask if I should bring her in...the nurse hasn't called back yet.

It could be an allergic reaction. Is she on perscription meds? I broke out in hives when I became allergic to penicillin. Bella also had an allergic reaction where she got spots all over and her face started swelling. I think the swelling is more rare but specific to the certain RX she was taking at the time.

She's not on any meds- how scarey for you though! ACK! I immidately went through my head the foods she ate and if I had used any cleaners she may have been exposed to....
I will take her in tonight. Chances are it's just roseola but they told me to bring her in just to be safe. I'll take her in a few hours, after her nap and I have a hubby home to watch the other kids and wait for my brother.

Is it more concentrated on her trunk? I bet that is what it is.
When my dd had it, they basically had us keep her comfortable. it is viral and just needs to run it's course.
