She received the details about her host family in Australia today.....they have four children all younger than her! There are two boys and two girls and the girls are dancers and she will be allowed to take classes with them. There is even going to be a dance competition in the town she will be staying in while she is there and they are wanting her to take part!!!!! She is so excited I don't know if she will ever get to sleep tonight.

Oh I am sooo envious! I wanted to be a foreign exchange student soooo bad when I was growing up! My parents could never afford it though. I didn't see another country until I was 27! It was wrth the wait though, I LOVED it! Hope she has fun!

The program that Em is going with is through Rotary and all that had to be paid was the plane ticket, some insurance and pocket money. The host family pays for anything else...Hard to believe the kids get a six weeks trip there for the price. I would have been worried about a scam but our Rotary and the Rotary in our town and the one in the town in Austraila have exchanged teens for years.jjenni08 wrote: Oh I am sooo envious! That is soo very cool! What an incredible experience for her! I know she will love it. Tell her to keep a travel journal. I brought one with me to Europe and wrote all about my trip.
