Toddler Booster Seat Help
Eli and I are going to my parents' house in a week and they want to buy a booster seat, so I don't have to lug around ours.  Can anyone give me some recommendations?  We have a Britax carseat for him, but that's like $300 or so.  They're thinking about a booster seat so he can get a lot of use out of it as he grows (he's three, about 32pounds).  Any ideas?!
My brain is on overload....we have a CO leak in our furnace and I'm waiting for a repairman.  NOT a good day.  Add to that the fact that Eli was awake for THREE HOURS in the middle of the night.  Where's that droopy eyed smiley?!  :grayconfused:

Re: Toddler Booster Seat Help
Ironically, I was just looking into booster seats! There was just a top best/worst list of booster seats article that I read somewhere. I didn't save the worst list, but here are the top recommended.

10 sets best bets meaning they were the most likely to correctly position seat belts. They include:Combi Kobuk, Fisher-Price Safe Voyage (with plastic clip), Graco TurboBooster, Britax Monarch, Britax Parkway, Fisher-Price Safe Voyage(highback), LaRoche Bros Teddy Bear, Recaro Young Style, Volvo Booster cushion and Safeguard Go when it’s used as a backless booster.

Hope this helps. I haven't looked at them though to give you my opinion!

Re: Toddler Booster Seat Help
My 4 yo is still in the Britax but my 8 yo uses the Graco TurboBooster Safe seat. Recently we took off the removable backrest. She loves it. It's just under $50.

Head support and padded armrests are height adjustable
Forward facing only, 30-100 lbs
Has EPS energy absorbing foam liner, and washable removable pad
Belt positioners help position vehicle belt away from childs neck
Easily converts to a backless booster seat

Re: Toddler Booster Seat Help
there is a Graco one at Target $150  its a 5 point harness booster seat, then you take the 5 point off and use it with the seatbelt and once your child is even older you take the back off and it is a backless one...i couldn't find it online at target.com but i'll keep looking and see if i can find a pic and description

here is an example that i found at Gracobaby.com

Re: Toddler Booster Seat Help
We have the last one posted and are currently using it as just the booster.  But, I like that the 5 point harness went to 40 pounds.  You'll have to check height...but that would be a good option as the other is just a seatbelt holding him in.
