Yay October, one of my favorite months!!    So I know you've got your camera ready for some great photos this month. Once again it's time to try some new shots at different angles and using techniques.  You don't want miss out on the fun of this Photo Hunt.  You have the entire month of Octoberr to take these photos and upload them into the gallery.  Once they're uploaded in the gallery please link them to this thread.  All photos need to be uploaded and linked to this thread by October 31st, midnight EST.  For each photo that you upload to the gallery (in the October Photo Hunt folder) and link to this thread, you will earn an entry into a drawing. The winner will receive 150 points.

BONUS PHOTO HUNT CHALLENGE:

Create a layout using at least 4 of your October photos. Link the layout to this thread. A winner will be chosen randomly around the 1st of November. The deadline for the layout is October 31st, midnight EST. 
The winner will receive 200 points.

Rules:

1. All pictures must be taken specifically for this photo hunt.

2. You may edit or alter only 1 photo.

3. You may have ONE other person take ONE picture for you. You may only do this one time, so choose carefully!!

4. Please explain your picture in the description of your photo upload and include the item number.

5. No computer images. Photo must be a picture of the item, and not a picture of a picture of the item, and not an image downloaded off the web.

6. One item per picture.

 Shoot, I totally forgot to include the item numbers in my photo descriptions.  Sorry!  I suppose they don't count then?

 If you don't have a very fancy camera, but a semi-good camera, do you have suggestions how to photograph the moon?

 VERY cool!! I have a new New Cannon Rebel XSI and have printed out the shoot list to carry in my camera bag with me!! whoot whoot!! Now where is that evil black cat of ours???

Good ?! I don't have a fancy camera. Took a pic of the moon a few weeks ago, talk about a tiny speck!

Just try your best. Try a tripod, or catch the moon when it is low in the horizon, rising or setting. Look for it as reflection (sometimes reflections appear bigger). One last hint... look for "moons" in other places. This is a photo hunt that should get your creativity flowing...think outside the box.

 Here's a photo that Bryan took of the moon last month when we were at a cemetary taking photos of tombstones. The camera is just a point and shoot. It didn't turn out too bad considering we didn't have a tripod. Don't be afraid to try.

Welllll aren't you clever!!!  I collect outhouses, why didn't I think of "other" moons. Thanks!!!

 I love this challenge.  My DH is always teasing me about photographing EVERYTHING!  Now I have a good excuse!!
