 everyday  or only on occasion? What section do you start with???

This all comes from something that happened at work today- they dropped off our morning paper and as I always do( and everyone knows) I reached for the sports section. Then a New Guy had a fit because a woman was taking the sports section before a man. Can you believe the gall- I can tell we are going to have trouble already-- he isnt going to last long in our unit--thats for sure.

I would have made a snappy comment about sexist comments being considered sexual harrassment.  Jokingly, but would have given him a look.  Of course - I want NOTHING to do with the sports section

Actually, I want nothing to do with the paper.  If it weren't for the Sunday coupons/circulars, I wouldn't buy the paper at all.  Waste of paper in my opinion, now that the Internet is so readily available and has up-to-date info from around the world. 

 I only get the Sunday paper for the coupons/sale circs....if I got any paper, it would be the local paper and hopefully all the good stuff would be in the front page section.

I avoid the paper unless my dept  makes the news

when I was in college, I subscribed to USA Today for a while, loved it, then Wall Street Journal while i was a business major.  I read that cover to cover for 8 weeks.  I tried.  Now I stick to getting my news via local ABC at 6am.  

 I read every section of the newspaper everyday.  Although when I am working I tend to stack up all the papers and read them all on Saturday.    My dh and I sometimes fight for the sports page, but I don't really care what section I get first.  Although, I do like to get my hands on the crossword first. 

I agree your co-worker probably won't last long with that attitude!

 Oh, now that I knew this about him, I'd be taking the sports section EVERY time, just to pi$$ him off!! (and I don't even LIKE the sports page!!)

What a moron!!

 The first thing I read are the comics, then the Maryland section and then the front page.  I really don't read it just look at the headlines.

I get my local newspaper all week and read it starting from the "A" section through to the end of the last section.

Then, I get the Los Angeles Times Thursday through Sunday and read that.

 I actually get 3 delivered at home and subscribe to 2 online. But I only read the sport section of our local paper.

What a jerkface though. I never read the "style" section of any of the papers either. Just give me the news, straight up, that's all I'm after.

 Oooohhh...I probably would have slapped him silly with the sports section of that newspaper! What a ding dong!

We don't get the paper but I catch up on the local news online.

 I usually read the whole thing - order depends on what else I'm doing - like watching tv or eating

 Yes, I read the newspaper.. we get a small local paper weekly, and on occassion I get the Sunday paper. I start at  A , and move on back to the end. Not spontaneous at all when it comes to my newspaper. However, I do skip the sports section alltogether!

 Rarely these days. I'm usually checking everything online. That guy has issues.

I read our local news on-line pretty much every other day, interesting to see the things that go on out there...

Oh, and yeah, I would be taking the sports section first thing every time the paper gets dropped off from now on and take my sweet time reading it. What a jerkola!

 I specifically subscribe for the weekend because of the adds/etc.  However, for some reason they've been delivering the paper everyday and I glance through most of it.

 I read the paper everyday and start from the front and work my way to the end.
