ah, I found this post of mine really quickly on the new board, that will be one of the most useful advantages of our new board - being able to search topics & posts...
I dealt with the why last month, here it is:
"We dont' make change just to keep Brandon busy, lol! There are a lot of technical problems with keeping the framed message board, more and more sites just don't have frames anymore. For those of you who are interested, you can google the pros and cons of frames and find out more. Here is an article explaining some of it in simple non-programming terms."
Our old board has so many bugs that really can't be fixed, not to mention all the problems with frames. The most logical reasoning was simply to go with a new Board format.

After reading the article on frames (which is one opinion, albeit an expert one) I can totally understand the reason why you've decided to switch out from frames but further reading of that article suggested the following: IFramesOne alternative to frames is worth a mention - IFrames. I won't go into the details here, but IFrames are fairly well supported, can achieve most of the same effects as frames, and have fewer problems. Worth a try if you really need frames-type functionality.Has ACOT looked at this option? If so, why wasn't it considered? Thanks Kristin ![Happy :)](./images/smilies/smile_16.png)
