My ridiculous neighbor is doing something to their car, so every 5 minutes for the last hour their horn goes off for 5 continuous minutes.  I have a horrible headache and it's going to wake DH up (we went to bed really late - like 4 am late, and I think he was actually up later than that).  I already tried going outside and giving them dirty looks, they are ignoring me.

Ugh, that would annoy me too.

I'm with you - we've got some ridiculous stuff that goes on around here as well. Hopefully they get the car fixed soon so you can have some peace & quiet!

Sorry to hear your having trouble resting.  I have fabulous neighbors but it does drive me nuts on Saturdays when I want to nap and they seem to take the whole day to mow, edge and tinker with the motorcycle. Laura

I had that happen last week, tried to sleep in and my neighbors were having their driveway ripped up.

We've learned how to sleep through the 7 am lawn mowing on Saturdays, but this honking was just too much.  It went on for another hour after I posted.  Luckily we spent the rest of the day at my in-laws, so I don't know how long it took them to fix it.

Ummm, don't you have any noise ordinances where you live?  ....or  certain times at which projects outside (that made noise like that) could be started????

next time, just yell.  We haven't heard the neighbors dogs in over a week.
