When do you put them under the tree?I wrap as I receive them and then they go under the tree. I have noticed that lots of people I know don't put any of their gifts under the tree until Christmas Eve.

I used to put them under the tree right away but now I wait... Since the kids all want big $$$ items there aren't as many to put under there and I don't have Santa coming over, I wait so it appears as though he came. It's more of a surprise for the kids.Gifts for parents and such go under right away, though!

I cant put gifts under there until xmas eve my boys are way to young, Santa brings them still so that would be a big spoiler. As for gifts before xmas I dont really get any nor do the boys so we dont really have that issue.Hugs

We wait until the kids go to bed to put the gifts under the tree...my ds is still to little to understand he has to wait. We decorated the tree last night and he would put an ornament on and then take it off. We set up a little plastic manger scene...baby Jesus has yet to lay in the manger...my ds keeps giving him a ride in the dump truck.

we don't wrap our Santa gifts and we usually are on the road and at the in laws for XMAS, so everything usually gets wrapped at the last minute...plus my kids like to shake boxes and if anyone send them gifts in the mail we try to hang on to them until right before we leave to go to Oregon...If we spend XMAS at home, then I wrap and put under the tree...but the kids seem to get a bigger enjoyment by waking up and seeing everything under the tree...plus everything is wrapped at my MIL's house and the kids get to enjoy that for about a week beofre XMAS

I wrap up all the gifts and they go under the tree. Then, Christmas Eve, Santa comes and fills the stockings (usually overflowing with the bigger items. My DD is almost 14 and we still do the Santa thing :)Last year was cool cause rebajane and her family (dh, 2 kids and her nephew) all spent the night and got to wake up Christmas morning at our house. Gonna miss that this year. sniff . .. sniff. ..

We wrap ours right before we open them-otherwise my kids would unwrap them as soon as they saw them under the tree!

As I wrap, I put under the tree.My mom used to wrap and put some under the tree, I think that we would each have 2 under the tree, and then christmas morning there would be like 3 or 4 more for each of us under there.

If I wrapped anything and put it under the tree before Christmas Eve, it would get opened, so nothing gets put out until after everyone is in bed Christmas Eve. That's the way it was growing up too, and I just like it that way. More of a surprise when you wake up Christmas morning. Although last year, Santa had to deliver one of my gifts about a week early, it was a new range that wouldn't fit in his sleigh with all the toys.

We also put ours under on Christmas Eve. There was always something about having an empty tree when we went to bed and coming down Christmas morning and having it overflowing with presents! We have family from Florida so there was always so many presents from them too. They were also put under the tree after we went to bed. We'll carry the same tradition with Alex.BTW: Carol..I am laughing so hard at the baby Jesus in the dumptruck. Alex had our nativity scene as part of his farm the other day!

I usually put dh's under the tree a couple days before Christmas. Of course, Quincie's don't go under the tree until Santa comes.

We'll put them in a certain area until I put up the tree. I'm thinking we'll only have the tree up for a week before Christmas.

Everything goes under the tree wrapped, EXCEPT the kids presents, which don't go out until after they're asleep on Christmas Eve. Also, I give each person in our family (DH, 2 kids) their own wrapping paper, so I don't have to tag all of their gifts. Their stuff gets piled into separate piles that they can dive into in the morning.

When we get the tree up i put gifts under the tree that are for friends and neighbors and co-workers as these people are the ones we see first during the holidays. Then about the 20 we put the gifts under the tree. mainly because we have a dec 10 and 18th birthdays!

My mom always put the gifts under the tree as soon as they were wrapped. Since it's just me now, I put my family's gifts under my little tree until I see them on Christmas.

I said Other because it depends on who's home we're at. If it's at mine I put them under as I wrap them. If it's at my mom's or sister's it's the night before since the kids still believe in Santa. Little suckers! Bwahahaha

Well, I used to wait until Christmas Eve to put out the gifts...but, last year (or the year before) we started putting them out once they are wrapped. Funny, when we started doing that...I caught my DS trying to shake some boxes.....too funny!!!!

Since I don't Christmas shop until after the 20th of December, it is Christmas Eve before they go under the tree. Also, A is really good about still pretending to believe in Santa--so I go with it.
