I was a Program Manager at a Pharmaceutical Meeting Planning and Advertising firm. Then I got hurt. Now I just sit.
I was in chemical sales for 15 years. Retired from that when my kiddies were little. Was a SAHM for 3 years, and now am the Customer Service/Administrative Manager/Book Keeper/etc/etc. for my husband's medical company.

I'm glad so many gals responded! It was fun reading what everyone does and/or did!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions.
I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.

I'm just like RitaS, I operate on way to little sleep.
I've had several jobs over my life: Amusement Park (Astroworld), Interned for North Carolina Horticulture Crops Research Station, Show Groom for an Arabian Farm, manager of a Peruvian Paso Horse Farm, Chemist for an environmental lab - wet lab, and worked as a Livestock Supervisor for the TX Dept. of Criminal Justice - Prison System, and then a Truck Driver (mini-float) to understand what drivers go through to do a load.
My final job is working for our corporation. I started our first oilfield supply transportation terminal (trucking) and did everything in it for two years. Until the downturn in the economy our gross was in the upper six figure range. When that happened I went to SAHM for high school kids. Then came my first love, purchased the ranch and I was once again doing what my soul loves. Then came the brainy idea of my husband to open a truck terminal at the ranch. So I spend more time now in the terminal. UGHHHH! I can not wait until this terminal is up and running about 40 trucks so I can go back to only being with the cattle 6-8 hours a day!
Jules, my analytical mind never could get spelling or grammar.......I would have graduated with honors if it hadn't been for my 12 hours in English and one Business Writing Class required for my minor!!!

Yes, this has been so interesting!
Jess, was this the 1st time you got to answer "mom" to that question?![Happy :)](./images/smilies/smile_16.png)
Jennifer, don't worry, some of us think accounting is exciting, lol!
My degree was in general math (NOT TEACHING - lol, people always assume that but it was a totally different program and there's no way I would do public speaking for a living!) but after college I joined staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. I got placed in the Athletes in Action International office in Colorado Springs as an administrative assistant. (Yeah, me w/a bunch of athletes, definitely God's sense of humor!) Left staff after my 2-year commitment to get married.
Have worked as Admin. Assistant &/or Bookkeeper ever since, I think this about my 5th location: I quit 1 for health reasons (mono 4 months into a marriage & 1 month into a new job, fun! [not]), another because we moved, and the most recent I was laid off (after having been there 13 years) because our company closed in February. My new main job is mostly enjoyable, I'm running payroll for the 1st time and also doing Accounts Payable which is what I really enjoy. Fortunately DH makes enough that I only have to work part-time even though we don't have kids, but I do have some health issues so this is very nice! Right now though some weeks I'm working about 30 hours which is TOO MUCH during the holidays when I don't have (paid) vacation time any more!
For several years in the early 90's maybe, I helped my parents w/their antique shop. That's been closed for quite some time and they still do shows but on the occasion I still help I don't get paid any more.![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/smile_wink_a_16.png)
Last summer I also retired from being a Creative Memories direct sales consultant for 12+ years!

I am a CPA and spent many years working as an auditor of financial institutions. I have also held the position of a Controller of a bank for several years and worked as a consultant. Most recently, I worked for a rating agency as an analyst and then project manager. I have finally been able to retire to be a FT SAHM last year.
I'm Dr. Happay Scrappay, chemistry professor and researcher. It's all I ever wanted to be.

I am a Regional Licensing Administrator for our state's child welfare agency. "My" region has three teams of day care licensing representatives and their supervisors and a team of child welfare agency/child care institution licensing reps. Prior to that I was a licensing supervisor, day care licensing representative, child welfare specialist (caseworker) with our agency, and before that, a caseworker in a private child welfare agency. Before that, a children's program director in a domestic violence shelter while I operated my own day care and worked on my master's degree. I have also worked part-time as educator/counselor in my husband's substance abuse practice prior to his retirement.

I am a claims processor (insurance) so basically I am the one that pays your medical claims for your insurance company.
It's boring - not rewarding at all - and we made a family decision that I keep my job and not look for something else because dh's job is so volatile.
I have been in the medical/dental insurance business for 22+ years. I took a demotion to move to be with my husband and now I work from home.
I have a fantasy that I will write a book some day. (and have it published too) (oh yea, and people will buy it)

Rosa sat so that Martin could walk. Martin walked so that Barack could run. Barack ran so that our children could fly.
I am a Digital Scrapbook Designer! LOL
But before that I was an Illustrator that drew floor plans and sketched houses for real estate agents. Which was all done from home and in between having my 3 boys. I remember having to measure up a house only 3 days after coming out of hospital after a C-section! DH had to drive me because I wasn't allowed to! Those were the days!
