Re: Going to the doc **UPDATE**
Anxiety and stress can do a lot of whacky things to our bodies. I hope the hives go away soon and the anxiety levels decrease soon, too.
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.

Glad the Dr. figured it out & gave you something to take for it. I wonder if anxiety caused hives are the brains way of distracting a person from the real problems. The human body is interesting.

I hope you are able to deal with the personal issues soon. Hang in there.

doglady wrote:Everyone's body reacts to stress in a different way but not everything you may have may be because of this. As a nurse I don't necessarily agree thay your hives may all be "stress" but you many have an underlying allergy that your body might normally fight and win but the stress causes your immune system to not be up to snuff.

We all need to be careful of doctors (especially male drs) who attribute things to stress, depression etc before they have done the testing to find out if there is a physical cause. Older physicians who were trained in a time when they attributed most problems of women be "emotionally induced" can miss important issues. I am not saying this in your case but just to keep it in mind. I once ended up in big trouble because a physician attributed my symptms of a serious health issue as just being a "little depressed."

This doctor, is young but he's very good. He has run tests on me and asked other questions to be sure it's anxiety and stress. I agree with that it is. I'm working on getting that stress down as much as I can.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and hugs. Means a lot. :)
