Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
My Christmas tree is full of glass ornaments and my favorites are the flamingo glass ornaments, and Quincie has her own tree in her room.  We really don't do much decorating in the house but the outside is another story.  We live in a corner townhouse and the whole front yard in full of lights.  Some of my favorites are the flamingos pulling a sled(yes, I am tacky), the giant light bulbs and the singing santas.

Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
Being that I have two small ones, I put those few ornaments they make on my tree.  I really don't decorate my tree any certain way.  I have a few ornaments left that are my favorites.  I just put anything on the tree. Red, Green traditional Christmas colors around the house.  I really don't have storage room - I live in  a double wide trailor, so space is limited.  I know this really doesn't help, but here's some things that might . . . fav color - blue - all different shades.  I love love love butterflies.  Of which I do not have one Butterfly ornament yet, but that's what I want to start working on finding, I want my tree to have butterflies all over it, ornaments and all.  Hope this helps

I can't wait for Christmas!!!  We only have one small tree, so we don't really have much of a theme....just lots of bright colors and fun ornaments!  We particularly love our Mexican, Irish and University of Michigan ornaments :)

Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
I am very traditional in how I decorate. We have the advent wreath out, the nativities, the tree, and a Christmas village. Most of the ornaments we have are homemade by my kids, and I get one new ornament for each kid, and hubby gets one for me, each year. I like faith based ornaments, or patriotic, not in to Santa or that kind of stuff. Like more subtle ornaments, not glaring. Love golds, silvers, blues and purples on the tree.
Anyway, hope thats enough.

Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
We have an electic mix of ornaments from homemade by the kids to handcrafted one of a kind treasures.

We seem to collect barns, John Deere items, nativity scenes, Noah's Ark and trains.  There are reasons for all of those :)

This will be the first year that each girl will have their own tree so dh and I are looking forward to putting more of our collected ornaments up.

I don't have any particular theme.  Most are ornaments that I have gotten have special meaning including (especially?) those that my kids have made.  I buy one every year for us and that one has a religious theme.  I especially like angels or those of the Holy Family.

Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
We don't have a particular theme that we decorate with or color scheme.  I do tend to have more modern type ornaments (modern isn't exactly the right word, but we don't use the "old world" type decorations).  I love all colors but especially deep blues and purples... glittery is great... shiny... I am pretty easy to please!

Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
I put up one tree (fake 6 ft) and decorate with all sorts of ornaments. I have some from when I was child to the one's I have bought for my kids (one every year since birth to pass on when they finally move out) to ones I have purchased because they are cute or match what I am currently into... (have a MN Vikings one, etc...) I do decorate the whole house for Christmas and have a village that my Dad has purchased for me. (I get a new building or house every year) I don't have any special theme other than green/red, santas, snowmen, angels and elves, lol :)

Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
Hrm let's see.. We do a fake tree every year lol. My whole family calls it a "Memory Tree" because alot of our ornaments we have bought on trips or people have given us.. They have a history usually. We really love santas. My mom loves using evergreen *guess i'll call that shade evergreen a dark green not bright*, burgandy,golds.. Victorian christmas stuff.. Our tree really is a collage of ornaments..nothing too bright in color though no neon or purples or pinks or anything please lol. :) I can't wait to give/receive an ornament. This is SO fun. Really excited. :)

I love all kinds of ornaments - my fav is snowmen.  My colors for our tree are burgundy and gold and the rest of my house is the traditional red, green, silver and gold.

I've really liked Nativity scenes the last couple of years. I have a few nativity ornaments. But we have a lot of different ornaments on our tree any theme or color.

Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
I am a traditionalist.  I have a collection of glass blown ornaments that my mom gave to me (a very expensive set) that has every color imaginable in them.  I use those and decorate around them.  lol  I love things that sparkle and I love santas and snowmen.  I also unusually shaped and themed ornaments.  If a family member goes out of the country I ask for an ornament from teh country for the tree.  I love an eclectic sort or ornaments.  Nothing inparticular here!  Thank you!!!

Re: How do you decorate for the holidays????
Sorry - I took so long to post this!

I like to decorate simply and elegantly.  Usually I base my colors around red OR around white.  I love ornaments that make the lights on the tree reflect - so glass, mirrors, etc.

Around the home I usually use a lot of greenery and plants.  Since I have boys I have a beautiful metal train that I place out.  Everything else is really simple.
