My little guy has developed a brand new fascination with Boots from Dora. All day is Boots this and Boots that.  I'm DONE with shopping, so of course he would get obsessed with something new right after I finish shopping.

Not happy about this but dh took this on himself..........Mason is getting a quad . He is 7 1/2 yrs old and I think he is way too young. Try telling that to dh when he brings the damn thing home in his truck.

My son got one last year when he was 6.  I didn't want him to have it either and I wasn't happy with Santa.  But to be honest, he has done surprisingly well with it.  So I've relaxed a little.  We make sure he's supervised of course and he wears a helmet.While I don't think it's cool that DHs buy something for the kids over the wife's objections, I have to admit that this summer, the quad was a powerful bargaining chip.

DD wants anything Dora, especially the vanity set.  Although she also likes to tell me that she likes Care Bears, Ariel, snow White, and Hello Kitty.DS is pretty good.  Every year he's asked for only 1 big thing, and the rest we have to guess.  This year it's Lego's Castle.

Liam wants the Imaginext Pirate Ship (check) and a drum set (check )Em wants mainly cash.  Oh, and some sweatpants.

Heather, I just read your response about your son deciding he had to have a Boots after you were already done shopping.....Liam did that to me 2 years ago only it was Buzz Lightyear.  Guess who was at the mall on Christmas Eve Day??   But it was so worth it...I hid Buzz in the back under the tree and every present he opened he said "Maybe this will be my Buzz Lightyear!"    When he finally got to it, he was so thrilled!
