Yeah, they did rise last summer, but this summer is much worse.  I remember last summer in July and August the number of Ohio cases was under or around 1,000.  Today they are just under 6,000.  Oh, and my County is reporting high flu cases ALREADY!  I'm so sick of this crap.  😞
At least on a good note, whatever strain my Mom has is causing very mild symptoms...itchy throat, dry cough.  That's it.  Not even as bad as a general cold.  But, I am sick of it, too!  I feel like the sooner people realize it isn't going away, the sooner we can all take the precautions we need to take, build up our immune systems, and it will not be as much of a problem.  But that's just me!

That's not my reality. I tested positive more than a week ago and still have most symptoms. At one point I was so dehydrated I couldn't urinate. Then the brain scans started at the hospitals as I had sound and sight hallucinations. Thankful not too many this time. All my tests have been negative except for the COVID.

oh man, i'm so sorry to hear all this.  what a horrible virus!!  i do hope you'll be on the mend soon!

Yuk!  I heard that the summer COVID numbers were on the rise.  Thankfully, we have avoided it and hope to continue that trend!

I can personally verify that! As can my sister! I spent Tuesday in the ER - was sent there by my PCP, and it's awful, affected my entire body, from muscles, to heart, they did a CT scan of my head even!! I was scared at what they'd find. Then in the middle of all this chaos, the Presidential rally started transporting into the hospital, by ambulances, heat victims!!

I can't recall a worse summer health wise. Ever.
You sure have had your fill of illness recently.   Hope you are feeling better soon.

Miraculously I have yet to have COVID and would like to keep it that way! (Come to think of it, my parents never had it either.) There was a mini outbreak amongst staff at my annual conference last week but was lucky. Good thing I'm in the events industry....I have bazillion hand santizizre mini bottles LOL

The one doctor said every last person in the US has had COVID now, just doesn't know it as it was not symptomatic. After the nastiness of this week I strongly disagree that anyone could have had it and not known it. Whatever, im glad I'm feeling better, in fact a nap, and then I'm scrapbooking and making tuna casserole for supper. I haven't had it in ages, just got hungry for it yesterday.

Thanks!! I feel better today, but my sister is still in bed. I need her to feel better, too . I never ever want hallucinations again. Evidentially they are more common than people will admit to. Ill admit to anything that makes them never return.

We've been lucky and blessed -- no one in my immediate family has had it.  In fact, none of us has been sick since the fall of 2019.  I thank the masks for that.  We are super careful as I am at risk, as well as my parents.

We're the people that get pointed at and laughed at for *still* wearing masks.  We're OK with that!  😜
OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

I have also heard from my cousin that is a nurse that numbers are going way up. I have had it the last two years when school started and want no part of that again.  I wish this would just go away but know it is here to stay  😪
