I am so sorry to hear that you went through all that stress and mess!!!! On the bright side, it is fixed, and hopefully there will be no more issues. I am going to say the refrigerator? I hope not though!!!
Susan
Oh my that was not a fun week and then expensive too. I hate unexpected issues like this, but I suppose we can't be warned on everything. Glad all the appointments got taken care of and everyone is good! But that is alot of driving!
I'm guessing the microwave because ours recently gave up!
Hang in there cherry friend!!

Laura so very sorry to hear of your horrible week. You are making me think I should get that extra insurance for the water line. Two years ago I had to replace every kitchen appliance in the matter of 4 months.
I will guess your dishwasher.
I will guess your dishwasher.
Sorry about your difficult week! I got an email today that my credit card was declined due to fraudulent activity. Ugh!
I was going to say Microwave, thinking no one else had guessed it. Oh well, I'm the second person to guess it. Ours broke last year and we still have not replaced it. We seem to manage fairly well without it and the counter is much more open without it.

That was quite the week!!!! Seems like a lot of us had stuff going on. I hope and pray this week is a LOT better!!! And so glad all went well with the appointments!
Stacy beat me to the stove. My first thought was your fridge. But I’m going to stick with your stove/oven.

Wow -- what a week! I'm glad at least your doctor appointments turned out well. I will guess microwave.

Ugh, house drama is my least favorite kind of drama. I hate dealing with repair people/contractors. I'm sorry,
I'll guess dishwasher because mine is on its last leg.

Schnikes!! What an unfortunate turn of events! I feel like after NSD weekend, a lot crashed and burned (literally our neighbors house next to us caught fire in the middle of the night; everyone is fine) and with the endless list of end of the school year madness, I haven't stopped to take a breath. Way to press on through it Laura! Our coffee machine broke last week but we had that thing for 7 years so I'm going to guess that your freezer went out. I had to defrost ours last week so it could make ice again. Whatever it may be, I hope it's an easy fix too!
Doing all the crafty things.
MY GUESS IS THE STOVE......................... SO SORRY FOR YOUR WEEK LAURA............. SENDING HUGS & GOOD VIBES YOUR WAY........... HOPE THIS WEEK WILL BE GOOD FOR YOU.......................... VALERIE
Oh my goodness, my heart hurt for you reading all that!! I never knew that was a thing that you would have to pay for...yikes!!! Doesn't home insurance cover that??? I'm so sorry all that happened, I think you have had your fill and hopefully this is it!! I'm going to guess the fridge, they don't last anymore.

Laura wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 10:42 amI am so glad that I was able to have such a fun, exciting NSD weekend here with my Cherry Pallies! It seems that the powers that be decided that since I was given the opportunity to have such a fun, relaxing, crafty weekend, I would be awoken the next day by a swift kick in the pants to remind me that "life" is still out there.
On Monday, we woke up to some large patches of the front yard that were flooded and had standing water. We've had a lot of rain, so our initial theory was that the ground was just saturated. But then, we noticed the sump pump was running . . . a lot. But, our water meter was running as usual -- nothing weird going on there. So, we got the City to come out and they informed us there was a leak in the water line somewhere between the street and the house. Of COURSE, that's where the leak would be -- the section that's our responsibility to pay for. So we had to hire a plumber/excavator to come fix the problem. Not knowing exactly where the leak was, they just started digging. They found the leak, but they ended up digging a trench nearly 50 feet long! Fast forward a couple of hours, the leak is fixed, we've spent a couple thousand bucks, and my yard looks like crap! They only include putting the dirt back and leveling the dirt in their services. I get it. That's fine. But, we've got to get that ugly dirt pad corrected ASAP. (Although, the Robins LOVE it! LOL!)
That fun was followed up with a notice from the bank that we're overdrawn. In my frazzled state to get things done, I just wrote the check to the plumber and went on with my day. Not realizing until I got my email the next day that umm . . . you have to transfer money if you want to write checks like that! So, I got that resolved, but not without some panic setting in!
My son and I had lots of medical appointments set up for May. But, one by one, they all started calling saying we had to reschedule because the doc's calendars had changed. So, we had to take what we could get. I kid you not . . . one day last week, I had to drive 40 miles to the other side of Cleveland for a morning appointment. Then I had to drive the 40 miles home, pick up my son for his appointment and drive 40 miles THE OTHER DIRECTION! After his appointment, I drove back home, dropped him off, and got back in the car to go BACK TO CLEVELAND for my other appointment! I'm still feeling like I don't really care if I ever drive a car again! But, those appointments are all done, and things are fine.
Then on Friday one of our kitchen appliances decided it had enough of this life and checked out. The kicker? We just replaced this appliance in 2020!
For some sprinkles . . . guess which appliance we had to replace! I'll let this run until 9:00 PM EDT!
Oh, and thanks for letting me ramble!
Oh my goodness! Sending some (((HUGS))) in a big way! That is a lot of "reality" all at once!! Sorry about the leak and that it's your responsibility - ugh!! And hearing that you are driving 40 miles this way and that...I think I won't complain about the subways or Ubers that we have to take to appointments anymore LOL! Can you get some cool audiobook to listen to or something like that? At least make it interesting?
As for the appliance...uh??? The fridge??
Happy Scrapping!

What a week you have had! So sorry about the water leak...that does not sound fun. I am going to guess that your fridge died, because they seem to be unable to make decent ones, anymore. smh If it isn't that, my second guess is your dryer. Sending hugs!
Laura
Ow! Hope you are okay.beachlover wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 11:48 amAw, so sorry for the mess!
Your refrigerator went? They tend to die overnight and leAVE a huge mess!!!
I need a new dishwasher, my son gave us a used one, and it was worse than what we had!
The dishes are cleaner when I hand wash but thanks to devil's spawn Chloe, my hands
and wrists ae cut up. This morning I turned in the kitchen to find her under my feet,
grabbed the stove handle but still went down on my butt and something took a chunk of
skin out of one of my fingers!
You'd think it was Friday the 13th!
Sorry you’ve had a crappy week. I’ve been busy making 2 trips a day to the hospital to visit my BFF (a fellow cherry) who had surgery and was in the ICU. Doing better and in step-down, but a hectic week!
my guess is the dishwasher

Good grief! What a week indeed! I think you've broken Murphy's Law and the everything happens in 3s rule! Hope the rough patch is over; you're do for some good news and no more life challenges!
I'm going to guess dishwasher.
