Mildred! That's soooo AWESOME!!!! And your husband DOES sound like a trooper!
Wow, Mildred! This is amazing. I crocheted and totally appreciate the work you put into this afghan.mgehrke wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 1:26 pmThe American Flag afghan I was making. I gave it to my daughter for her boss yesterday, and they are both in love with it. I won't lie the stars were a challenge to put on and they aren't in perfect order, but I did my best. I had to enlist my husband's help as I kept getting frustrated with the stars. He was such a trooper and spent his entire Sunday sewing on all the stars and allowed me to scrapbook.

Haha! I did a blanket that had 1 starfish and 3 turtles to attach and that took forever! I can't imagine 50 stars! Thank goodness for your DH!mgehrke wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 1:58 pmscrappinmom99 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 1:43 pmThat is just gorgeous!! I crochet and I can see how much work you put into it!! The stars look wonderful but LOL about the stitching them on part...that's when I would zone out too LOL! Kudos to your husband!!
Thank you so much - I not only zoned out, I freaked out, bailed out and any other part of out imaginable.....lol

I can't scrap and watch TV (because I have to see the captions) but I can do needlework - crochet or cross stitch. So, I know I'm going to have at least 2 hours a day watching primetime with hubby and do something. I also cannot relax if I'm just watching TV and not doing something with my hands. Weird LOL!

This is beautiful Mildred!!
Thank you!! I try to scrap and crochet everyday. I scrap sometimes over my lunch break (I work from home so that helps), then I try to scrap once the kids leave at 4pm til dinner which is around 6pm. I'm lucky that my DH does the cooking so there's where I get time as well. Then after we eat, I like to spend time with DH watching TV. That's when I can get my crochet time in. Weekends are usually scrappy days especially in the winter. Now when the seasons change, my scrapping takes a big hit. I may go all summer long without scrapping. I'm going to try not to do that this year, but we shall see. I have lots of flower gardens and love being outside since we are in the house for several months over winter.

My grandma taught my mom and then my mom taught me when I was about 16. I'm so happy I learned how.
