So happy to hear that some of you have gotten the Covid shot, but seems like most of us have not. The roll out here in PA is exceptionally slow, and when I saw my PCP yesterday he had no idea when we would get it, since docs are not getting any info. The roll out of the vaccine has been a total failure from the start. I just want it so that hopefully we can go on vacation again! DH and I are in our 70s, so we are in group 1c, whatever that means other than we are over 65. Absolutely no information, and part of this is because we are woefully behind on production, and when we get it, there isn't enough staff to give the shots. A nightmare. There should have been public health centers who oversaw and ran the whole shebang. It is unfair to expect states to do it, because they are so short of $$ in many cases tp manage something so big. I will be happy if I get it by July 1, but still not sure. And really tired of quarantining!
I'm currently experiencing life at the speed of 15 WTFs an hour.

I got mine on Thursday. I work in a doctors office in a small hospital in central PA . . .they sent all UPMC employees an email to sign up / decline (as it's optional), and I had initially declined, checking the box to wait until more people were vaccinated. The thing is, people were signing up, and then not showing up, so they wound up doing walk-ins, so a couple of my co workers and I all went together. We did take Tylenol prior to going. I also received the Pfizer vaccine. No (knock on wood, as I was still on the fence about getting it) side effects - Thank goodness. Arm is still a tad sore today, but only if I touch it . . .

Not sure but I found it interesting that her doc referenced the shingles vaccine...aheatfan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 5:17 pmJust curious how the Shingles vaccine is related. I had a terrible reaction to the Shingles vaccine. Out of work for two days with horrible chills.sdwhru wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 2:25 pmMy mom had a virtual app’t with one of her docs yesterday - he told her she really needs to sign up to get it. Not only is she in the age group, but she hits a lot of the markers for the pre-existing conditions. She has, also, had the shingles shot. Her doc did tell her if she didn’t have a reaction to it (feeling sick or really down for a day or so) she more than likely would not have a reaction to the vaccine.
Not yet. I wish. I meet the requirements and try to sign up but sites here crash or appointments are gone in the first 3 minutes for the whole week.
