I am lucky my hubby is retired and does 90% of the grocery shopping and cooking... so I guess he sort of plans by what he buys... On weekends we usually go out or I make something ~ usually by looking in the fridge and cupboard and throwing leftovers and stuff in the crock pot!

There was a reason we had the fire dept. on speed dial when I was single. My hubby does all the cooking, although, I really can if I have to. Cooking is his hobby and sniffing new paper is mine.

I used to be a menu planner and it saved so much in grocery costs, but now that my kids eat on their own it doesn't make sense for just hubby and I.
