Out Homeowner's Associayion bans bird feeders. I had one when we first moved here but had to take it down. I gave it to my daughter.

My hubs threw out some feed on the ground the other day (bird feeder got destroyed last year) but they ignored it. However we have some fat and happy squirrels now.
