I'm so sorry that you are going through all of this. Things have a way of working out and sometimes for the better. I understand about the job loss and the dog. My husband has been sick for 2 years and hasn't worked at all since then and our 15 year old dog was killed about a month ago.
In spite of that, God has provided for us and he will do the same for you. He has given me good health so that I can take care of my husband and now I have 2 jobs. I will pray for you and your family. God bless all of you.

I am NOT going to say hang in there or it will get better....but, there's a reason why. I, myself, have been seriously looking for employment for close to TWO YEARS now. All I can say is that I empathize with you...I truly do. I get near tears someday....and shake my head....wondering what will happen.
I am just happy to wake up every morning still...see my kids....and just BELIEVE that something good will come! So, I will pray for that for you. Baby steps....one day at a time....and in my thoughts!

What a terrible month. I am so sorry to hear you had to go through so much, and in such a short time. Although I'm fairly new to ACOT, I feel like I know you through all of the positive messages you have posted in the last few months. To learn that you were going through such a rough time is shocking and I don't know how you managed to stay so positive and upbeat. You have really made me feel welcome here. I will add my prayers to everyone else's that tomorrow is the start of better times for both of you.

I'm so sorry for you - I DO know how you feel. I had the same kind of 2011 - I won't go into depth but I, too, lost my 16 year old Maltese, survived two moderate floods, then got MRSA from a cut on my foot, and then a huge flood that took my home - lost 15 years of scrapbooks, scrapbook supplies, photos, etc. I decided I was devastated.


Then a little old man, a neighbor also in the flood, was walking out of his old trailer nearby my home, and I said "Oh, were you able to save anything?" and he smiled and hugged his cat and said "Everything that mattered, honey, everything that mattered." A lot of words are spoken in that - and so remember that you and your husband still have "Everything that matters". My heartfelt sympathy to you, and know things will get better.
