Re: Question of the day 7/7
Well, I think having terrible cramps counts as "sick"... but I know I've stayed home because it was cold and I didn't feel like going out... or I knew I was just going to be bored... :D

Truth be told, I haven't. I get paid based on my billable hours; so I rarely "cry wolf". My company is generous with PTO (paid time off), and I will use it for a vacation/sick day when needed.

I haven't done it in quite a few years, but there are days I just can't deal with certain people.... but the drugs are helping :winkb:

This will sound like I am a Polly Anna, but the few times I have called in I was really sick. Never called in when I was not ill.

I'm burned out and need a mental health day. And, if Bf gets the job overseas, I will call in if they don't give me a day or 2 of AL (annual leave) to be with him and take him to the airport.

well I don't work, so . . . but when I did work I once called in sick because I oversleep and would have never made it there on time.

Re: Question of the day 7/7
For me when calling off it has usually been that one of my kids were sick. Now that I have my own business, I can take off whenever I want and not feel too guilty about it. I worked hard to get where I'm at and deserve it. :)

Re: Question of the day 7/7
I called in sick when I first started working because I didn't feel like going. I ended up getting "really" sick that same week so I figured it was Karma & I don't call in sick unless I really am. I am lucky & where I work is very nice so I just call in & say I need some R&R for the day
