I still have baking to do... Spent Saturday scrapping, then Sunday I was outside shoveling snow all day. Tomorrow I have to finish my baking and do all my wrapping yet!

Skipped making the cookies this year----hubby is diabetic and I didn't want them lying around for him or me!!


I did make a lot of batches of puffed caramel corn, though.

I so wish I would have had the desire to make them this year but I just haven't.

I hope to start tonight!! I was asked to bring bars xmas eve - so planning on three and will start tonight. I had planned to take Weds. off work, but the forecast messed that up and my boss is now going to head out early for his long distance travels, so I am holding teh fort instead. I did take a vacation day for Xmas eve - at the very least want to make peanut butter bon bons with the kids as it is their very favorite cookie/holiday treat. Wanted to do butter spritz cookies...but not going to stress over it now that I am losing a day off.

WOW! I thought i was the only one who hasn't started! My plan is to do some baking with the kids tomorrow!

I'm just starting this morning! I ran to the store at 6:30 this morning in search of green cookie icing, no such luck. My trees will be flourescent green I guess. I let my 9 yr old pick out what we would be making so it's fudge, cinnamon polar bears, decorated sugar cookies, buckeyes and frosted rice crispy trees.

We are still making cookies at our house too. All the cookies are super easy this year because my 4 year old wants to help with everything. So, we made pretzel/rolo cookies and the ritz cookies with peanut butter and dipped in almond bark as well as marshemellow cream fudge. It is kind of a nice break to not be knee deep in baking this year.

Yes, I have been baking since Sunday! We had a huge snowstorm on the east coast -- and we got 18" in Delaware...took all day to dig out...yikes!


So it was perfect to stay in Sunday and bake! I've made peanut blossoms, peppermint crunch, some Pillsbury slice and bake ( yes, I cheated on a few) --- LOL!



I'm also trying to clean my scrapbook room -- I was in a big craft fair last week, and I can hardy walk in my room! Ugh!

YAAY! I now have the cookies and fudge done!! Tonight I'll get the meat marinating and cook the jerky tomorrow. Packages all wrapped, house cleaned....I'm finally ready!

Yes, tomorrow I am off work and will spend the day baking cookies.
