I think there was an episode of CSI about this sometime in the last year or so.  ???  I learn all of my new techie stuff (like 2nd life, etc...) from watching CSI :)

 Yes, I really want to do this since I heard of it in Dec, but my dh can't find his GPS since he went camping.  ~  I am sure it is in some nasty bag he forgot to unpack someplace.

 The best part of Geocaching is discovering things you wouldn't have seen otherwise.  For example, we have lived here 18 years and by geocaching, we learned about another country cemetery only four miles away.  While visiting my parents,  we geocached and found that there is a lake about 5 miles from their farm that I didn't know about in all of my 18 years of living there.  Would have been a great place for parking. :winkb:  I agree that it is a fun family activity.  It's like treasure hunting.  It's rare and we have not yet found one, but sometimes people do leave money or something valuable for the first person who finds theirs.
