Not up yet. Bf knew that I really wanted a big fake one, and surprised me with it last night after we got home. It's pre-lit, which is awesome cuz I hate putting the lights on the tree. So it will go up probably this weekend if I am feeling up to it.

I can undersand people in the US putting up their trees after Thanksgiving, it kinda "kick starts" your holiday season.
In Canada our Thanksgiving was October 13th this year. One holiday has nothing to do with the other here. Most people I know put up their trees around December 1st though.
I put up the tree on Nov 15th and did a little decorating each day with the kids until it was done about a week later. We had fun!!

Well the big tree in the family is up and decorated and the small charlie brown tree in the sunroom is too.
There are some lights put up outside but only because the weather is not cooperating and we don't see a break.
But the rest of my decorations are not up yet and I have tons of presents to wrap.
I'm leaving for 4 days tomorrow morning and then we have a xmas get-together with my dh's side of the family a week from Saturday and then our big family xmas is at my house on the 20th with 23 people. I'm not done with the decorating and need to start on the xmas cards and hopefully finish my shopping by this weekend.

The smaller fake tree goes up in the family room after December 1st but we always go and cut down a real tree around mid December for the main tree.

For the 1st time, we are going to put ours up the day after T-day. Depending on how I feel, we may start ON T-day. We usually wait until the 1st weekend in December.

Rosa sat so that Martin could walk. Martin walked so that Barack could run. Barack ran so that our children could fly.
We used to wait until around december 10, since it would stay up till DH's birthday on Jan 7 (yes, little christmas), but since we are taking it down early this year, it will probably go up the weekend after thanksgiving.

Nope, I like to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday before I get into Christmas. We put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving (sometimes Black Friday).
Call me Scrooge.... our tree will go up a week or 2 before Christmas & be down on New Years day or the 2nd. If I had my way it would come down 2 days after Christmas, I just can't stand having everything rearranged for so long. I seriously wonder about y'all's mental state to want your tree (or trees) up for over a month.
I don't get it.
OK, go ahead, shoot me.
Ho ho ho.

I am planning on putting it up this weekend before my DS goes back to college-gotta use those strong muscles to assist!

i must be the only one who waits till 2 weeks before xmas to put the
tree up, usually because we've to go get it (never owned a fake one)
and traditionally we used to have it flocked (to look like snow), but
lately we've stuck to our fave "noble fir" trees which we decorate in
a primitive style --- strung up popcorn and cranberries, and baked
gingerbread ornaments... then, it's all recycled after New Year's.
a friend of mine, on the other hand, has 8 (yep, EIGHT!!) fake trees
everywhere including bathrooms
and if given a choice, she'd have
all of them up all year long... that's how crazy she is about christmas!

Not yet - I might not even be putting up much this year since we will be spending most of the month in Texas.

oh hey, i'm actually not the only one! LOL
for us, it's because we don't like it when it
starts to shed needles everywhere which of
course becomes a fire hazard & just messy.
