We don't live right near the water, but although Long Island is long it is not very wide, so we can be at either the north shore or the south shore in about 20 to 25 mins. I do like to see the water but haven't really been into going into the water in a looooong time. I don't find the water here to be very appealing to go in to lol. But summer drives to the shore or along the shore are always fun, although I think we need to get back into doing that again. I think we just get lazy sometimes.suewho372 wrote:Hi Barb!!!!
I, like Brandy talk with Barb almost everyday ! But I don’t think I’ve ever asked this one.
Living on Long Island you are close to the water, do you like the shore? Or the beaches? Do you
ever take the pups there?
Back when we had Cider we took him to the shore out east once and it was fun. He didn't go swimming though. DH and I have always been too chicken about having our dogs off leash when we are out. We worry too much. I envy people that can do that. I think it is so cool. We just don't have the guts to try it. But Cider had fun that day on the shore with me, dh and dd. We've never had any of the others on the beach though. Most of the beaches here there are no pets allowed, although I'm sure if we tried hard enough we could find one. These days with dh's back not being good and him not being able to walk for more than just a few minutes we haven't really bothered to try.
