During the week, I drink wine but Friday nights I have a martini (dirty or lemon and always vodka).
There is no better pampering than heading over to the salon or spa - walking out of there after a cut and color, or a massage, it's like walking on a cloud. Which reminds me, I'm in desperate need of a cut and color, it has been way too long.
Small indulgences are scrappy supplies, dark chocolate and flea market finds for my gardens and house.
I've never had a manicure or pedicure and would love massages, expecially my neck since I suffer from cervical dystonia and I get neck spasms. I used to get massages at PT but that was last year.
I did buy myself an oversized comfy chair and ottoman that is in my sunroom with one of those floor lamps that provide a special light for SAD. I plan to use it this winter cuddled up in afghans and reading books.

I think my favorite, just for me, indulgence is reading a book while drinking a glass of wine. I tend to get lost in my book so I have to make sure everything else is done first...or nothing GETS done.
Since my retirement in 2000, I've learned to indulge on a regular basis. I think my most important indulgence is my morning walk. Not only does it help keep my weight down and my heart pumping but it keeps me sane (or as sane as I can become). There are mornings when appointments and necessaries could interfere with my daily morning walk, but it is a priority for me. I need the "alone" time it provides.
I get a pedicure now and then, hit the sales on pay day and once a month I treat myself to an order for paper supplies.
My hubby and I indulge about 1x a week and take ourselves out for wine and Greek on the river or in town. Sometimes it is breakfast out, sometimes lunch and more often dinner. This is our "date" time.
