Cat Breed
Do you have a cat and what breed?   I am just curious with seeing all the cute LO's everyone is posting.

My cat's breed is "pretty".
I'm sure she's just a "mutt" - (hmm, is there a feline equivalent word for that!!??). But I think she is beautiful.

Re: Cat Breed
I have a 17 year old cat (Glacier) who only likes to live in the garage and not be part of the family.  She isn't any type of breed, we got her at a shelter when she was a kitten.

My other cat (Jazmin)  is a Smokey Sealpoint Himalayan Persian, and like most Persians, she is a sweetie.

I have 2 Ragdoll cats. Bubbah who is 11 years old and Max who is 6. Both of these guys are very affectionate. They follow us around the house like puppy dogs. They just have to be near by. I have had several cats in my life but these guys are by far the best pets ever.

Re: Cat Breed
So fun to hear  about everyone pets etc. We never had cats because most of my family is allergic to them.  BUT, there was a stray cat in the neighborhood when I was a kid.  Well dad's station wagon had a broken window that would not roll up so the cat decided t have her kittens in the car under the seat. Making everyone late to work and school.

Yeah, it's "Domestic Short (or Long) Hair"! :)

Not that I've posted LO's of them recently, but we have 2.  Both are rescues.  Fiona is 3 and is part Maine Coon - beautiful and stout but short.  Jack is 4 (but we just got him in March) and grey tiger.  They are both incredibly intelligent - figured out how to bounce open cabinet doors (independently of each other).  Neither are as cuddly as our 18-year old that we lost in December, Ginger, but Jack has his moments. Re: Cat Breed
Sorry... everyone I talk to says something different about my cat. He looks like a grey tabby I think with very gold eyes. But he has long gold spotted hair on his belly and something about his paws, his body length and the way he walks that one vet and a few more cat owners have said he looks like he's mixed with - um, I forgot...that one domesticated wildcat.  Personally I've ever only been around two other cats: we have an orange tabby outside (basically on the deck these days) and we had a grey tabby before (that looked nothing like Hairy Pawter).

Re: Cat Breed
two cats.  Both adopted from a rescue group about 2 years ago.  Both American Tabby and could not look more different.  She is a skinny light silver grey short hair with a white face and neck.  He is chunky, fuzzy dark grey, tan, black and white.  His rear feet are the white part.  His tail is a waving plume.  He is sweet, loving and funny.  She is honery and likes only me and my DS#2.  I love them both to pieces

I used to have a chocolate point Siamese who was well loved until she dies.  The after a while we got a barn cat.  We loved her, too.  One day she just disappeared and we have not seen her since.

Re: Cat Breed
We have three.

My cat is 'Q'.  Well she use to be.  When I moved to ranch I chose to leave her at Houston area home.  I did so because on occasion we get a mouse in the house as we live in a neighborhood where minimum lots are one acre. Several lots are 3-5 acres and many own more than one lot.  "Q" 's now has me as #2 person and our son, James as #1 person.  James has told me "Q" goes with him when he moves.

Lynn has her two cats Jewel and Jinx with her at the ranch.

All three we adopted.  "Q" is a solid black long hair.  Jinx is solid black shorthair.  Jewel gets her name from the most beautiful emerald green eyes!  She is a blue calico shorthair.  Definitely a stunning cat who loves all humans.

Re: Cat Breed
My 2 cats are domestic shorthairs (or a mix). One is a "tuxedo" - black with a white belly and is very personable and loves people. The other is cream with tan spots  and 2 different colored eyes. I think he has some ragdoll in him as when he gets upset he goes limp- or dead weight when you pick him up. He also talks a lot.

My ragdoll was also very puppy-like.  She died last year after 13 years with us.

I have a grey tabby, not sure what else could be mixed in. He's from a litter of a momma that my ds's family adopted or should I say, found them one day and took up residency. Image

We, also, have 1 cat who thinks he is rare breed of dog.  He really doesn't know he is "cat"

Name: Mo  Breed: who knows?  He showed up during an ice storm so we took him in.

This is Bob (short for Bobcat) she picked me at the animal shelter back in 1999.

She's has pretty calico colors...white, tan & dark grey and she is polydactyl.  She's a sweet cat even my mother and BIL like and they don't like cats.  She's not shy and will come out when we have company and jumped up on my grandmother and DH's aunt the first time she came over.  She pretty much follows me around the house and has taken to sitting on the back of my chair while I scrap.

Re: Cat Breed
I have 2 cats, both are types of tabby's, but I'm sure are mixed with others.
Gwen, she's 4 years old this year, and she's a brown and black tabby with little areas of orange fur. I'm sure she has part Munchkin cat in her though, she has such short legs! haha! Not Munchkin short, but not regular cat long either. :)
And Link, he's 3 this year, and he's a Mackeral Tabby, mostly grey with white areas. He is such a large cat, we think he might have some Maine Coon in him. And he's not graceful at all, so heavy on his feet, and has some very dog-like tendencies. haha! But he is the biggest sweetie ever. Always wanting to cuddle.
I got both cats through D'Arcy's Arc here in Winnipeg, they are a no kill shelter. Gwen had been left in a box at their door, and Link had come in through a foster family, his litter had been left by their mother, and they were all very sick. Only Link and one other cat ended up surviving, and even for Link it was amazing he made it, So he's my little miracle. :)
This is Link.

And this is Gwen.
