Cherry Garcia

What can I do for her?
Hello, Cherries. It is been awhile, but I need some advice and thought of you all. My boss/friend has been through a lot in the past few months. She are her husband are starting a new business. It involves a lot of debt and they have had many delays. In Aug., their daughter (youngest child) with whom she has a very close relationship left for college 3 hrs. away. In Sept., her father (she was also very close to him) passed on. Yesterday one of her close friends who had finished chemo a year ago got a diagnosis of cancer of a different type and will most likely undergo a mastectomy and chemo. Besides lots of heavy praying and just being there for her to talk to during the limited time we have to talk, what can I do for her?

If you have the $ and she has the time, a gift certificate for a spa day together?

Sometimes the best thing you can do is nothing. By that I mean, be her shoulder to lean on, be her sounding board, just let her know you are there for her!! Sometimes we just need someone to be strong for us, when we can not do it alone. ((((hugs)))) to you both!!!!

Re: What can I do for her?
Sending hugs, I'd just let her know you are there for her if she needs anything. Maybe a card and a small gift (if she likes coffee maybe a new mug and her favorite coffee, etc) to let her know she's on your mind.
