This makes me sick! I do not for the life of me understand how any human being could be so heartless-- utterly despicable. I am so glad you have the love in your hearts to take her in and give her a wonderful life. We have taken in MANY cats/kittens (strays) over the years---we currently have a 2 year old cat, Millie. She was a TINY kitten rescued from the woods 2 years ago by my daughters- and she was ever mean! Scratched & bit my daughter when they were trying to get her out from under a big pine tree. She was SO hungry- when we offered a can of food to catch her, no problem- she began eating. Now she is 2 years old, fat & fluffy and seems to show no gratitude for our kind deed! Gotta love 'em. Give your kitten the best home possible, she deserves it.

I know it probably happened so fast, but she should of taken the licence plate number and have those a$$holes charged! Thanks to your SIL for picking the kitten up and you guys for opening their home! Sorry for my potty mouth, but that just gets me mad!

No apologies! That is exactly what we said when she came over last night. And the first thing out of DH's mouth was "Did you jot down the license plate number?" All she could think of was saving the kitten.

oh my gosh, she is gorgeous. How could anyone try to hurt a kitten is beyond me. Unless it was done by a kid and the mother didnt notice until it was too late or something. still - jeez.

I've been avoiding this thread all day. I was scared to open it. I'm so glad I did...she's such a doll! I'm so glad she seems ok and your SIL was there and you can take her. Poor thing.

Her mind and heart were in the right place at the right time. Good luck with your new kitty. We found one in our boat last spring and nursed her back. The vet said she was only 9 days old. Her little eyes were crusted and matted shut. Mufasa is her name. The vet told us she was a boy but 6 weeks later they changed their minds and said she was a girl. Pretty little thing too.

I live in NC (and I'm NOT saying it doesnt happen all over the country, I just see it more here) and I have lived in many states up the east coast and I have never seen so many 'loose' dogs and cats. I say loose because not all of them are strays. people just let their dogs and cats out the door to wonder about!! ITS BUSY AROUND HERE!! and there is a leash law for your dog, and your cat might get hit by a car, or the same with your dog!!



I have seen too many dead dogs and cats on the side of the road here, we brought a dog to the pound a month ago, no tags. We saw a wondering kitty near the roller rink, but it had a collar & all, looked healthy. I told my daughter "we cant take them all home, the person may have just let them outside"



On the way to bringing my daughter to school this past Tuesday, the car in front of us hit an Orange Tabby, mary & I were pretty upset. I was ready to grab the cat and bring it to the vet after I dropped her off. But it was gone, it was hit pretty bad. But people dont get thier animals fixed or spayed.



My neice says to me " no way am I getting Tubby spayed (her dog) I want her to have puppies, and I want to keep one, I have every right to let her have puppies" This is coming from a 25 yr old girl who dropped out of HS in 10th grade & quit her job a year ago and her mother is supporting her 100% in her own place!

People seem to forget what happens to the offspring...



Sorry for the rant, stupid careless pet owners piss me off.
