Card crops?
I wondered if there was any card crops held here or does anyone know of any? I dont do lay outs (yet) so I can participate in only so much this week end. Also am I they only one who does not go by manufacturer when I buy. I buy because I love something and am terrible at names......

Re: Card crops?
I have never seen a card only crop. They have actually had several this time which is different. And no, I shop by "like" also! If I see it and love it, it is on my list no matter who makes it. :-D

Re: Card crops?
I usually go by what I like when purchasing as well. There are just some companies that I ALWAYS like their lines! Just like I prefer to be Unaffiliated/Independent in my voter's status---I won't be hemmed in by labels! LOL I won't just buy something because it was made by a certain company--I will buy it because I love it!

There aren't usually card crops here...

Ohhh... love the idea of a card crop!

And no, you are not the only one. I just buy whatever paper catches my eye! (though I am starting to notice there are certain manufactures I tend to buy more than others...)

Re: Card crops?
Love the idea of a card crop ... count me in! I buy what I love as well ... but since there is so much that I love ... I tend to buy by manufacturer that I know it's good quality. Sometimes I am patient enough to wait for a 'fave' manufacturer to come up with the design I like. Unfortunately, my 'fave' manufacturers has grown to a list ... just as long as all the products that I love ... so now I have to find something else to help me narrow down my list ... so I have money left over to 'eat & drink' and to buy more products when new ones come out. :?

Re: Card crops?
Definitely like the card crop idea! As for purchasing... I want it ALL! LOL Actually, I do have a few favorite designers and manufacturers but it's mostly what I like that I buy! That doesn't mean I'd turn a free gift away though... :P

I have never seen a card only crop! Like the others, I buy what I like and I don't usually buy an entire line, just sheets or embellies I like (I know I probably make it more difficult on myself)! I tend to like certain manufacturers, although sometimes I am like, what are they thinking!! LOL!

Re: Card crops?
Count me in for a card crop! I shop by what I like, not by manufacturer. What's great at ACOT is that you can search by manufacturer, or by color, or by category... it makes it so easy to find what you love!

I don't make cards a lot, mostly because I don't find myself terribly creative when it comes to making them. I would love a card crop...to inspire me and get me making more!!

Re: Card crops?
I like the idea of a card crop! I'd love to see classes on stamping in a card crop.

If I see it and love it, I'll buy it no matter who the manufacturer is. But I have companies I really love, my favorite being Basic Grey. I tend to check those companies first. The list of companies is fairly short. I also really love the "Envies" thread every month because I get a chance to purchase and remember to look at others wish lists. I always find something I haven't seen and I'll put it on my wish list!

I loooooove the idea of a card crop! I know Paper Crafts (the magazine) has one during National Card Making Day (first Saturday in October), but they are the only site I've seen do it.

I really like the idea of a card crop too!

We will see what we can do about it.

I buy what I like too - but over the years I have started to realize that I usually buy the same manu's and dislike the same ones. and I just started learning the style of each one - like graphic 45 is vintage and websters is realistic/flowers and sassafras lass is bright and whimsical.

I think a card crop...maybe a 1 day crop...would be great to participate in. So many techniques that could be passed on to us card-newbies.
