Re: Thinking about going to work full time...
OMG! I would have been so scared to do what you did. That's like when I type at work. I'm a great typist. I'm fast and accurate and can fly through the different screen I'm required to use. However, if the powers that be come anywhere near me when I'm typing, I turn into fumble fingers and my brain turns into bubble gum. LOL I'm sure you made a much better impression. If you can handle that kind of stress, then I'm sure you will have a teaching job soon. If you get the job, do you know what grade you will teach?

Good luck. It is something I've considered. I'm thinking I will start college courses again when the kids are both in school full time.

Sounds like a big change for you Julie! I know from experience that working full time (or even slightly less) takes a good chunk out of your scrapping time! You can do it though...you're a superstar! Good luck on the job!

Good luck. I hope that you will still be able to do all the fun things you enjoy, along with having a bit of extra money with which to enjoy it :)

Thanks for all your encouraging words! It still doesn't feel real. It'll be a while I think until I know for sure what's going on. I'll definitely be back with the details because as much as I am nervous, I'm excited too!

RitaS wrote:I am sure you are a great scrapbook teacher Julie, and no doubt your teaching skills really shined in that interview/lesson - so don't fret - I bet you were fabulous!!

Must you go back to work full time? Are you bored? Man, I would give anything not to have to work full time - I am not blogging near as much as I used to, nor scrapping either. My dream would be to sell Arbonne on my own schedule, and fit in actualy workout time daily and an hour minimum for scrapping. I am praying in 3 yrs time that my clientele will have grown enough to allow me to do that. I do like my FT job fine, but it so lacks creative outlet - I want to be passionate about what I am doing - creating and helping people.

That said, because I think I just went off track here...(sorry)... do what you are passionate doing. If it is teaching kids - awesome! Think about where you want to be 5 yrs from now, and will the teaching job get you there, be a part of it. I took this job because it was available and I needed it, but in the long run... I hope it is not in my 5 yr picture or I will not be living the life that God has gifted me for.

If you are meant to return to teaching, I will pray that you get the job. God knows what is best for you!

Bawha!! You are funny Rita! Noooo....I'm definitely not bored! LOL It's just that I've spent so much time subbing at the school as it is, I really feel apart of what is happening. I care so much for the kids at that school and I'm very close to most of the staff. We are in such a small community so it really is about being able to make a difference in the families. There's a lot of hurting people around us and as you know this is an area we feel called to make a difference in. So, I'm totally trusting that if God wants me to work full time there at the school it will all work out. If not, I'm still fine with just subbing. I'm not even interested in any other schools in the district as they are all far away and out of our community. As far as five year from now....I don't know. I just have to do what feels right for me at the moment.

You are so sweet and I thank you for your kind words!
