So here is my problem.

my 2 oldest kids and I are going to Myrtle Beach SC this thrusday. On friday the band director asked me if i could wash the t-shirts that were sent to her as part of our package for the trip. They were individually packaged in a shape of a treble clef about 4 inches long. So you can imagine what the shirts looked like when they were removed from the plastic wrapping that held the shape. she wants each kid to wear it for the award ceremony.

So i didn't wash them until yesterday. Some how in the pile of 55 shirts were a bundle of luggage tags that we were supposed to use on our bags that were sent by the travel co. Well guess what They got washed too. and since they were made of paper they fell apart.

So i emailed the teacher (she doesn't check her emails) and i emailed the travel co. and have not heard from them yet.

I was planning on cutting some out with my expression and possibly adding a eyelet to make the hole a bit sturdy for the elastic band that will attach the tag to the luggage?

Should i take the time to do this? Should i just go to staples and buy some? what should i do?

Go buy some, hopefully in the same color.
And keep calling the people in charge. They may want something different. And if they do, buying them, means you can return them and not waste a lot of time cutting things out.

Update.. I finally got intouch with someone and they told me that they will just have to go without any. (Thank God)

Thanks for your ideas. I probably will buy some cheap ones for those kids that dont already have something on their luggage.

what do you have more of....time or money? If you have a couple of kids they could be stringing the tags and pounding eyelets while you're choosing which papers to use!


Have fun with whatever you decide....the funny thing is that 50 years from now, this will be one of the things you end up remembering about the trip!~
