I stopped Resolutions a long time ago.
Goals are more like it. I decided for the first time to set a year long goal for my scrapping. I just finished counting the layouts I did in 2009. Wow....it came out at exactly 100 and I didn't scrap for three months. I also did two mini albums and one altered item. So I decided to try for 140 layouts for this year. At least five other paper crafting projects as a goal.
Another goal, to become better at taking care of the cattle show string's coats. It is truly an art form to get the perfect show coat on Lowline Angus or any other "fuzzy" breed!
That's me too. I must lose the weight for my health.LKappy wrote:I would like to lose weight....not a resolution, but a must.

Dh and I both want to eat better. This doesn't mean we are nixing the junk foods altogether (baby steps), but definitely narrowing down the amounts. This goes for setting a better example for our kids. I'm going to do my best to make out monthly dinner menus and stick to them. With cold weather, I want to make big amounts of soups, stews, and other meals that can carry over.
Exercise. I know it helps! Instead of driving to return a video rental this morning, we opted to enjoy the sunny (albeit cold) weather - and walk. Round trip was 2.12 miles. My goal is to get up to 5 miles a day.
Continue doing well in my studies. This semester I'll be taking Sociology and Environmental Geology.
Scrap more. Now that I've made my spreadsheet of the digi kits I have, and have started to print out contact sheets (4X6) of the kits, I can see what I have to work with - and what I "must" buy still.
Use my hands-on supplies - both in layouts and cards. I didn't spend the money for nothing. Either that, or donate it to those who will use it.

I stopped making resolutions a few years ago. I think ANY day is a good day to set goals! I do have new goals right now because of the new baby. I am going to be striving for balance. I would love to better balance my time... time for baby, time to create, time to do housework, time for me.
Last one was the only one I ever kept - never make any more resolutions.

Gotta love your reasoning!

Yes... the "to-do" list has on it -
1. Eat better
2. Walk more every day
3. Spend more wisely....
4. Seek peace
Among other things....

I used to be a "celebrity cherry", but now I'm in re-hab...... Holy Carp!
No resolutions here! They always get broken.
No resolutions. I do have a word, however... "LESS" which ties in with several goals. Less stuff. Less things in this house that are not needed. Less hanging on to clothes that don't fit - get rid of them and buy new (now that I work FT I don't have to be as frugal), less of me - both physically and spiritually.
I haven't made resolutions in years. It's more like goals like exercising more, don't stress out too much, and use up my scrapbooking stash.
No actual resolutions but plan to do more scrapping/crafts with my 8 year old.
The only resolution I made this year is that I want to try to do one layout a week. I'd even be satisfied with two a month -- I think I did less than a dozen layouts last year and not enough to make a book of them.
