Awesome! That is a cool present for him, and he's one happy boy. Happy birthday Cole! Love the pictures, and the last one made me smile of what Grandma's doing. That's a good idea with so many piece. Small pieces, too.
Connor wants one of those, too. Can I just send him over to help out? We're trying to get Connor to keep all his together once James starts to crawl around. It won't be for a while, but at least get Connor can get used to the idea. They're everywhere.

Oh the Lego days.......my son loved those things and so did his sister.......except she stuck one up her nose (they are 7 years apart) and had to make a trip to the ER!:?bellaconsmom wrote:Awesome! Sometimes the one you think is your knight in shining armour might actually turn out to be a retard in tin foil!
If he waited for a year and you all pitched in, I say it was a great present. All of the memories you guys will make just putting it together will be worth their weight in gold.
Glad he had a happy birthday!!!!

HOLEY MOLEY!!! And I thought it was bad when I used to get the boys sets with 100 or so pieces!! Of course, my kids never managed to pick them all up and I'd invariably step on a small piece and scream because my foot hurt. Another of course is that they were always Christmas and Birthday presents and Grandpa was there to help put them together! Oooohh, the dirty looks he used to give me!! Then he'd get down on the floor with the kids and stay there for hours, putting stuff together and playing with them. Good memories - and I'm sure this gift for Cole will leave you with happy memories for many years! I hope all of you have a great time playing.
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
That look on his face is priceless, money well spent I say Happy Birthday Cole!!
Yes, to answer your question, you are crazy. But it's worth it, isn't it?

I am impressed that Cole made the decision to forego the party and all the trimmings for the one single (albeit AWESOMELY single) gift. You all look like you're having a great time and this is a memory that you'll treasure forever. Obviously he made the right choice! Happy Belated Birthday, Cole!

I spoke too soon because the Death Star is on his Christmas List this year!!
That's a lot of pieces, but he looks very happy. And the good news is, it will keep him busy for awhile.

That is so awesome! MY DH would totally want that if he saw it! He can't wait until our nephew is older so he can buy him the lego pirate ship and other Star Wars kits--he would lvoe this one!

aww. looks like a great gift. I love Star Wars. I bet it will be really cool once it is completed. Have fun!!!!
Legos have become so complex and expensive, but I admit... it looks rather exciting! Good luck keeping track of the pieces!
Somethimes they just need something great to remember a happy childhood. I hope that all the parts stay together. It woud be great if someday you could pass it down to his kids
