Anyway, I figured out that when I post the thread, and go to link OR add a photo, where it asks for the URL address of whatever I'm pasting, if you click on it to see the cursor, instead of just having your arrow over the box, you will always get two http:// at the front of your pasted address...which give you a red X or an empty box when you're finished.
If you just hit paste over that box with the http://, you should have a correct link or picture in your thread response!
If this makes you go, "Well, duh, Laura", just ignore it. But it was an a-ha moment for me. I don't have those very often, so I have to take them when I can!
