As a teen I kept a diary, but not since then. Although when we go away on a trip I always try to keep a diary of our travels - it helps so much when it comes to scrapping the trip later.

I've tried in the past but I never get past the first paragraph. I'd rather just think my thoughts...it's faster then writing them down.

I haven't kept a journal since I was a teenager. I don't know if I could keep up with one now because I'm always so busy.
I truely wished I did when my children were small. I find it hard to remember who did what or had a cute saying, our activities, etc. I would love to have journal to go back through just for myself to recall the good times and the bad, see where we were and how much I"ve grown and changed.

I have one, but don't write in it daily.
I used to keep one and would even insert photos once in a while. I wrote in it almost every day. However, there was a point that I got to thinking, "what if something happened to me and my diary was read by my family." It was then that I destroyed years worth of journaling. Not that I had done anything wrong or bad, it's just that the diary contained some very personal thoughts and feelings that I wanted to keep to myself.
not since I was in junior high school except for when I was forced to by various English professors in college.

No but I wish I would have at least journaled important milestones of our sons and other important things. I do try to keep one when we are on vacation so that I will remember the small details in case I want to journal them later in my scrapbook.

My blog and facebook status line are about as close to a journal as I get!
Normally when I am facing a difficult situation in my life I jot my thoughts down. It seems to have a calming effect, plus I love to write.
