 I don't use a ruler, it's just not my style.

 I just eyeball it.  All the years I used to sew I got very good at knowing small measurements.  Now for something bigger like arranging stuff on a wall I do measure.

 For placement... no. I usually place things without adhesive and move them around until I am completely satisfied and then will put the adhesive on and tweak the placement. Now cutting is a different story... I use a ruler to measure and cut pp and cardstock that is going on the page, and also to measure what size I want my pictures to be.

 All the time.  If you look all my layouts look pretty much the same.  I use the ruler about 99% of the time too.  I have tried layouts where the pictures are off center with lots of embellies to filll the space but its hard since it is outside of my box.

 Yes I do to.  If I am doing a straight layout it must be straight.  If I don't seem to be able to get it I will tilt it.

 I'm an "eye-baller" for sure! I only use a ruler (on my trimmer) when making mats.

 the only time i use a ruler is when i cut matts and thats the one on my trimmer

 I use a ruler only if I want something perfectly placed, such as the mats under photos, a border, etc.

 I recently purchased the new Tim Holtz ruler and have been using it a fair bit -- particularly for perfect placement of brads, etc.  The little pinhole markers on the ruler are so very cool for proper positioning of the brads.   Love it!
