to use with my Cricut. Does it work with the Cricut Create or just the Expressions? How many have it and acutally use it? Is the version on ACOT the newest version? Is is worth the $$$ or should I pass?
My opinion, I found it hard to use so I got rid of it. I had it for the smaller cricut.

I'm not "techy" enough and I don't trust myself with it! Heck, I was lucky to be able to figure out how to get my "Chosen Cherry" avitar on and off!!
I used to be a "celebrity cherry", but now I'm in re-hab...... Holy Carp!
I just bought it but haven't downloaded it yet. I hope I like it. I got it for 40% off at JoAnn's, but it was still expensive.

Isn't there a "trial version" that you can get? yes...yes there is..lol. http://www.cricut.com/cds/DesignStudioTrial1.aspx since it doesn't look like I did that right, you can go to cricut.com and go to "products" and click on Design studio and it will let you download a trial....
Nothing makes me happier than seeing the word "CLEARANCE"
I love it. I took a class on how to use it, the directions with it aren't worth anything. I use it on teh expression.
I have used the trial version and you can only use the George cart. with the trial. I really enjoyed using it. I am thinking of buying it when i have some extra cash!
The trial version works with George and Baby Cricut, Juan works with the Create, and Plantin School House works with the Expression. I'm not sure if the 3 carts work with different machines, meaning would George work on the Expression.(only in trial version) It works in the purchased one. I have Design studio and love it. I found to just play with it to figure out how it works. Just remember you need the actual cartridges in order to cut out whatever images you want. I thought the package was a little deceiving on stating you can cut from the entire library, almost sounding like you didn't need the cartridges. But YOU NEED the cartridges. That is why they came out with the Jukebox, you can have 6 cartridges hooked up so you can do your cuts from mutiple cartridges without having to change the cartridge from your machine. With design studio you can take an image from one cartridge and font from another and blend them together. It really lets you get a lot more versitility. I would wait and get the new version though. It sounds like ProvoCraft is not going to support the old version. Everytime new carts come out they do an update (firmware) so you can see the new carts in the library. I hope this is clear and helps. If not PM me and I will try it a gain........

if you are going to spend the money anyway you might look into the SCAL.... I have both DS and SCAL and I am still trying to figure both out...but with the SCAL you no longer need cartridges. I got my SCAL for $60 at candacraft.com
