Anybody ever watch this? I have some little Disneykins that dh's mom found in her house when she bought it. We might take them tomorrow and see what they are worth.
Well it's not the Antiques Roadshow. It's the Treasure Hunters Roadshow. And I sold my 10 little Disneykins for $40. Not too bad considering we found them in the top of a closet. We are going to go back with some coins we have and see what we can get for them. It will pay a bill maybe.
Ok we went back with all our coins from a lot of wheat pennies up to a couple of silver dollars. The best price we got was on some silver quarters for $1 each and some of the half dollars for $2.50 each. All together we got a little over $170.00.
Not bad for a day off from work. huh?

Are you going to go?
How fun would that be if you found out you had something worth more than you realized?

That's a great show. You never know when your junk is someone else's treasure.

I think you have to buy a ticket. I read that in the paper when they were in Michigan last year.
I didn't think you could just walk in. The show was in Grand Rapids, MI earlier this year and my Dad had to send in a request for tickets WAY in advance and then wait to see if he actually got them--which he did. Mom and Dad went and had a good time although they came home VERY tired. It is a lot of standing in line and waiting. Dad (who is an antique dealer) actually stumped several of the appraisers with one of the items he brought.
Oh, I love that show!! Let us know if you go and what they say!
I'm always amazed at the stuff people bring and how much it is worth sometimes. I'm a major history buff and I just love old findings that they have on the show!
Haven't watched it in ages but it's always neat to see what people bring in!
Good luck with getting your stuff in there!

I totally love this show and seeing all of the interesting things that people have or have simply just "found."
My partens loved this show. I have friends who wouldn't miss it.
