well I have enough ornaments, lights, tinsel etc. to do 3 big trees and I used to just cover every bit, but now I am the one who by myself decorates it and then by myself takes it down, I have gone uber conservative and it is only modestly decorated. All my John Deere ornaments of course and then some pretty fancy Victorian types and I have given up tinsel completely. sigh.

I havent even thought baout putting mine up yet
E and I are pack rats...er, ah collectors. When the kids both moved out into their own homes, we gave them all the ornaments that meant something to them and set about creating our tree. Now, fourteen years later, it is filling out nicely...lol. This is our big tree in the great room. I think it could use some more big pretty glass balls but E doesn't necessarily agree...hmmmmmmmm!
His twig tree on the lanai has no ornaments but my retro four footer in my work room has fun ones all over her (I call her Lucille...I am a namer!)
Can't wait to see everyone's trees!

We just put our tree up yesterday (artifical pre-lit tree). I'm middle of the road when it comes to ornaments. I have quite a few, but I wouldn't say the tree is smothered either. We did buy a few more new ones last night because a local store was having a sale on ornaments for 60% off. Couldn't resist!
I took pics of it this morning and will try to remember to post them tonight when I get home...

Our tree has many ornaments & lights on it. We collect 1 or 2 new ones each year. I have brought many from my past life & so has my DH & now we are collecting ones for our life together now. This will be our 8th Christmas together.
Mine is inbetween. I have a pre lite tree but I always add extra lights and I have tons of ornaments also.
My son and I put our tree up yesterday... he woke up at 6:50 wanting to start LOL

I think that we are somewhere inbetween . We always put our tree up the Sunday after Thanksgiving but I have finally decided that I won't torture my dh all Christmas with a real tree(he is allergic to pine) and we are going to get a fake tree. I hate the idea but this fall dh has been miserable already so I don't want to make it worse.

Mine is covered for sure!! Just putting it up now. I'll post a photo later.
We love ornaments but there has to be a healthy balance on each branch! Yep.. that means they're ALL loaded! LOL!
Trish ~ It's all fun and games until somebody loses an EYELET!
Jules, I swear you are just so creative ... I am lovin it more and more!!!! Not to leave anyone out here. It is just that everytime I log on, she has posted another picture of another "spot" that has been decorated. It is just so cool!!! We just got home from the Guadalupe (for Thanksgiving) River yesterday and haven't had a chance to even get the decor down out of the attic. I am behind at this point but am so down about the holidays this year. I have to get moving this evening!!
wow Jules - your trees are better than all the retail decorations I have seen this year!
wanna come to my house?

We have a 4ft. tree right now! So, I am limited on the amount of ornaments. We don't want the tree to tip over. I'm game to post a pic when the tree is put together.

Very impressed with your trees ----Jules!!!
I'm about halfway done with my tree, but it doesn't come close to the classiness of your trees!!!
