Sell.
I agree! I love baseball, but the money would be tempting. However, if your daughter wants to go and is old enough to remember, then by all means, go to the game. I know my 4th grader would never forgive me if I sold tickets to anything that he was looking forward to.Charleneanne wrote: ok jump ahead a few years till Dd is an adult. Will she talk about the time dad sold the tickets and got money for something else and what fun that was, or . . . . .
will she still remember years and years from now that she got to go to the first ever in history World Series game for her hometeam. The fun, the history, the special experience . . . . . . or just that dad thought money was more important than this wonderful fun thing.
Have you had money before? Will you get more money? Will the Rays ever again in their history have a first time in the World Series? If you really want to go to Niagara Falls, it will still be there (well at least for the next 100 years or so) Unless you really need the money to live on or for something else equally important, jeez go to the game.
OK off the old ladies soap box.
I would sell the tickets. It would be cool to go, but that's a LOT of money for something that will be televised anyway. Niagara Falls won't look the same on TV.

I would sell 2 of them and go with dd.
I would sell, but it would be a great experience if you went.

I guess to me it is how hard will you kick yourself doing one or the other? Will the Rays be in again while your dd is young? If you will have regrets when you look back because you didn't take her when you had the chance, then I say go. If it is a situation where you wouldn't have regrets, then sell. tough decision

Uhmm. I like baseball but I would take the money.

I would go to the game.
What about your dd .... sounds to me like there was/is a goal here that someone started. Maybe you sell ur ticket and let ur dh and dd go or if she has friends that will help her complete her goal then u and ur husband sell and let her go ... as was said bfore ... Niagra Falls isn't going anywhere but the Rays???
I dont know if anyone has said this already, but I think you have 4 tickets, so....Can't you sell two and keep two and one of you take your daughter to the game? Then you'll be able to pay for your season tickets for NEXT year!
You know, that sounds like a good decision! It's going to be so much fun, and all the memories! Definitely do a LO about the $$ offer! That's a memory and 1/2!
Besides, if later on money is on your mind....that baseball glove she's got will be worth a mint!

and no this is not a hypothetical question-- it is an issue at our house right now and we cant agree on what to do.
added info--- it will be the first time that the Rays have made it to the world series-- History- we have been to 3 play-off games so far and we went to about 20 games this seasaon, about the same last year also. My dd and I really want to go to the game, but dh says sell and run with the money. My dd is only missing 3 signatures of her glove and she will have the entire team on it-- she loves loves them-- but would laso love to go Niagra falls( which is what we probably do with the extra money)
**** Thank you all for your ideas- we have decided to go to the game( if there is one) this is the year we love baseball- maybe not so much next year and as she gets older she will be more into boys or other things and not pay much attention to it. Plus, if they do go-- the tickets and autographs will be harder to get next year and she wont have that personal feeling she has right now. Right now it is our thing to do as a family-- my parents have even been to most of the games with us. Niagra falls will always be there and money isnt everything. We decided that the happiest people are the people that do things with the ones they love-- and we wont be losing anything by going-- we would be losing if we dont go. -- Although we may sell our 4th ticket-- but we might not get much for it being a single ticket--but might recoup what we spent to get there so it would be a freebie kinda.
Have a great time!
