So, we joined our local beach club and my days have been spent in the sun lately. Been using my crock pot lots but I"m getting bored. Any ideas out there?? Simple is good...chicken, beef, pork, shrimp...all good too.

Hey, I just bought a new cookbook for this very "purpose."
One easy thing...if you like Italian sausage.....just put the sausages in your crock pot...and add whatever spaghetti sauce you like to use....cook it on low....and you could eat it with a fork and knife.....or add it on a sausage roll and eat it that way. It really is yummy and there's nothing to it!!!!!!

buy some roast beef lunch meat from the deli, 2 pkts of us jus sauce and add the water and cook on low while you are at the beach.. serve on hoagie buns, yummy yummy and it's fast and easy. cook some onions and green peppers and add swill cheese to it and you got yourself a philly steak sammich.

Also....you could just make Italian Beef sandwiches..... I just bought the meat at our deli and you get the au jus with it there. I put it in the crock pot on low.....get some Italian bread (or even French bread)...and cut the loaf into whatever size pieces you want. You could even add sliced green peppers in there, too, so they would cook right along with you warming up the meat.

Brown onions with hamburg, put in some mushroom soup (add fresh or canned mushrooms if you like) 1/2 can of water, worchestire sauce, pepper and simmer. Then add 1 can of instant rice - or serve over rice or noodles

4 chicken breasts
1/4 cup butter or margarine (1/2 stick)
1 packet of Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix
Place the chicken breasts (I usually have them frozen) in your Pam-sprayed crockpot, with the butter (cut up in pieces) and the dressing mix on top. Cook on Low all day (at least 6 hours). Half an hour before you want to eat:
Remove the chicken breasts from the crockpot and cover to keep warm. Turn crockpot on high and add in the following:
1 can mushroom soup
1 8 oz. package of cream cheese (I use the low fat...you can't taste the difference)
1/4 cup dry white wine (I usually just use the cooking wine you find with the vinegars and oils in the grocery, but you can use good wine if you want to drink some with your meal.)
Stir all the ingredients together until the cream cheese melts. Add the chicken back in and simmer for about 10 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles. Yummy!

Ok. Now you are in my yummy neck of the woods. But what the rest of the country (and world) doesn't know is Philly cheese steak sandwiches are made with Cheese Whiz or Velveeta. It's not authentic if you don't use that!

Yeah, people will say you shouldn’t, but if you have a clean crockpot and take them directly from the freezer, I have never had any issues whatsoever! They get hot enough in newer crockpots to kill whatever.
