Re: Tortured
 Dear all,
Thanks alot for your hugs, prayers and thoughts , I really appreciate them. Its nice to know I can vent ,get advice and support from you ladies whenever I need it.
I talked to 2 doctors. Basically each one gave me his opinion not on professional basis but rather on his personal beliefs. The first doctor told me that he wont even discuss abortion, he is totally against it regardless of any reasons or situation. He said that he has never dones, wont ever do it and wont even recommend someone who is pro-abortion to talk with. He said that there is no proof that the medicine i took will harm tha baby and that nothing is guaranteed. The second doctor said that abortion is a personal choice and that he does not need to know the reasons why i might need it.He also said that the medicines targeting the nervous system and brain like the one i took do increase the risk of the baby having problems, but this is not also proven or guaranteed.
I talked to a shiekh (muslim priest) and he told me that abortion is religously considered a sin unless there is a strong nessicity for it. He also said that i am the only one who can determine wether we need it that badly to do it or not. So basically, talking to them made me more confused and more scared coz at the end I am the only one taking the responsibilty religously  ,ethically and health wise, wether to continue with the pregnancy or not.
My husband said that he supports my decision whatever it is, but he wont say what to do coz he also does not know. My family is split in half, my father ,sister and brother say that i shouldn continue with this pregnancy because i am not ready physically, psychologically and financially so logically it does not make sense. My mother and other sister say they know its going to be very hard on me and my small family but that at the end babies are a blessing , no matter how much we may suffer now we will appreciate the new addition to the family and that i will deeply regret it if i go with abortion and that guilt will always haunt me......

I will be saying prayers for you.  You and only you (and your husband) will be able to make the decision that is right for you.  How does your husband feel?  Is there anyone you can talk to there?

Re: Tortured
Have you considered keeping the pregnancy but then giving the baby up for adoption if it is too hard to have another child? In my personal experience, my third baby was the easiest as a baby! My pregnancy was hard and I totally understand that part of wondering how to care for you kids when you are on bed rest. What is nice is that with your baby being so young, you should be able to confine him to a safe area and play with him from the couch.
Lots of hugs to you!!

Re: Tortured
 Dear Diana,
my main concern is the pregnancy period. I know that once i have the baby in my hands any other issues will be hard but can be worked out. Its not easy to take care of 2 toddlers from bed. I also feel very guilty for selim because he was stuck home with me for 9 months when i was pregnant with hussien. He was 1.5 years and he stayed most of the time confined to the apartment. He only went out occasionally when a family member offered to take him out because he was SO BORED and everyone would pitty him. I feel bad that he has to go through his mum not bieng able to take care of him again and bieng stuck home for 9 more months in such a small period of time. I know that my family will try to help me out as much as possible but seriously how much can they stand 2 very naughty toddler boys ? a week , a couple of months? but not the whole time then again help when i have a new born,,

Re: Tortured
I understand. I had no family to help me at all here and I felt terribly for my boys as well. My two boys are so wild! It was very hard on all of us but we made it through. So if you do decide to keep this baby, I wanted you to have comfort in knowing that I have been through it ( my husband would be gone 5am to almost 10 each night, so I get that too! ).

Re: Tortured
What a tough decision!  I'm sorry.  I do hope that you will have peace with your decision which ever way you choose.

If it helps any - toddlers really do re-bound great.  So they might be bored and out-of-control for nine months, but, if you can still show them that you love them, they will get through being stuck in the house.

Big hugs!

Re: Tortured
I'm so sorry you're faced with this decision, Dina.  It's never an easy one.  I was a volunteer counselor for an abortion clinic for a couple of years and have heard many, many stories.  Very few take the decision lightly.  I hope that emotionally and spiritually, you can find a decision that you can be a peace with.  My thoughts are with you.
