Organ donation and then cremation. Sorry worms!
I'm not late
Everyone else is way too on time.
0/3 for February
Hubby and I are going to be cremated and buried in a artificial reef in the warm ocean.

My DH and I have never really talked about it. I like the compactness of cremation, but think burial isn't bad either. I am pretty up in the air with it all. If I die young and healthy accidentally and not a disease, I want my organs to be helpful to someone else to live. After I am dead I doubt I will care what happens to me post mortum. Is that the correct word? LOL

I'm not planning on dying.
I always wanted to be filed away in one of those above-ground mortuary things that looks like a card catalog. But we're poor folks, so probably cremation.

Organ donation and cremation.
I see no reason for a funeral home to make money off my departing this good green earth.
Scatter my ashes some place warm.
For those of you considering donating your body for science and the body is used at a medical school, I know that Dartmouth Medical School has a very touching service each year for the bodies that are used for teaching. The families are invited to the service too. It's a way of saying thank you for the chance to use the bodies to learn more so that they can help others in the future.

I want to be buried and I want to be in my sleeping pants and a tee shirt.
TIA
Looks liek I am in the minority, but I want to be buried. Mostly because I have an incredible fear of fire. My worst fear is that I will die in a fire...so no cremation for me thanks!!

Cremation for me too...after organ donation. After working at the cemetery and doing burial we have seen so many expensive caskets go into the ground. Cremation seems more cost effective...IMO
Now, my dh is completely opposite! He wants all of his organs and wants to be in a casket.

Cremation all the way!! It is so much better for the environment. If I could really have my choice I would do it old school style: float me on a little barge out at sea and shoot a flaming arrow to send me off!
Creamation for me as well. Becuase the idea of a bunch of gross bugs crawling through me, not a nice thought. Doesn't matter that I'm dead at the time, it's all about how I feel about it now. So creamation for sure. I also find that we're running out of room for all the bodies in cemetaries, so why worry about paying for a plot and space when you can just spread the ashes and I go with the wind.
Oh, I also will give my organs away if they can be used. I won't need them, why not give them to someone who does! I know i would be grateful to someone if it came to me needing an organ!

depending on how and when it happened - i would want to donate any usuable organs. my best friend was killed 2 years ago in a car accident and she saved 2 people and my other friend's father is a heart recipient. i think if my kids are still young, i would want to be buried and if they are older, cremated.
uuuummmm you have issues. lol I have never really thought about it.
Organ donation or donating my body to a med school aren't much of an option - after 15 surgeries and living with 5 chronic illnesses, I doubt I'd be of any help either way! I've thought of a body farm, but the kids went ballistic. So for me, it's cremation with the majority of my ashes spread over my favorite place on earth. The boys want to have an urn with some of the ashes in - I told them that was fine; I would already be dead anyway. They'd prefer me buried, so they can visit a grave, but I told them with my ashes sprinkled, I'll be blown all over creation so I'll be everywhere they are and they can always talk to me.

I'll be buried. It is not that I want to be viewed or visited - I just think I want to be near my dear ones, hopefully buried close to my husband and children. I do; however, plan to donate organs.
Like moody, I would also like to do a full cadaver donation. My dh wants to be cremated.
