Okay so on friday I came into work. I went to the back of the plant to maintenance like I do every morning to get some coffee (the coffee pot in the breakroom is broke). On my way back to the front of the plant, I slipped and fell. There were some guys that were cleaing the floor and did not have the area properly marked off. There were about 6 guys there when it happened and not one of the asked if they could help me. I was really pissed, after figuring out what I had slipped on and gettting angry at them for not having it blocked off I headed back to my desk. By this time I noticed the throbing pain in my right hand. I get back to my desk and I can't move my right thumb. So I head out to the doctor, at first they thought my thumb was broken. But turns out it is sprained. But any way I can not use my right hand very well. You don't realize how much you need your thumb until you cant use it. I can't even open the dang bottle of vicodin to take for the freaking pain. So every time I need one I need to ask Mark to open it. As of yesterday my thumb is a really nice shade of purple, and still swollen. So if I owe anyone anything hand made ummm this is not happening right now. I can handle the bought stuff.... but umm well... I know I owe twinsmom1 something.. can't find the swap right now. I was going to take that with me and work on it this weekend (I have the papers at home), but that didn't happen. (I know it is already late, so if you need to drop me Mel I understand) Not sure how long it will before I have full use of my thumb.Trying doing things with out your thumb.....or even better left handed, if you are right handed. UGH!!!!!UPDATE: Thursday Jan 17. UGHHH!!! Thumb still not working right. It feels okay, no throbing pain anymore, but then I go to use it and I can't pick anything up. Makes it really hard to do much!! I am going to try and get everything up dated this weekend. I am really sorry. Just hang in there with me.
