Haven't you every done something out of the kindness of your heart?  Haven't you ever made a few mistakes?Well, I have for everyone on this board from one thing to another.  You all know who you were/are!!The hostess never asked me to go above and beyond. Swappers never asked me to go above and beyond.  So forgive me for helping out and caring about a best friend and wonderful person and all of you!I had the time, I enjoyed doing swaps, I adore my new friends on this board and so I did what I could to spread my kindness.  As the Hostess has done for each and ever swapper in over the 4+ years she has been on this board and still doing today!So if everyone still wants to continue to spread the warm and fuzzies then go for it.  How would you feel if you behaved the way you do and tragedy strikes that person or yourself in some way.   What a memory of words can do to someone.  Think about if you were only given 6 months to live.  Will you continue to behave like this over swaps?  This is what is happening around us every day.So as I will personally still live each day like I don't have tomorrow and treasure my life -  as I watch my family, my friends, and this board of friends new and old - go through cancer,  deaths, injuries, divorces, children issues, house fires, theft, surgery, and so on........................................................................ Isn't there other things more important to gripe about then these late swaps and postage!  Because in the end, you will end up with them either way you look at it.Happy holidays to one and all!! Your friend said it best...High school called and they want their drama back.  That being said...I am happy to supply you with some!If people are having issues...then communicate.  How hard is that.  Communicate to your hostess and STOP SIGNING UP.  I see people who are out of work STILL signing up for swaps.  WHY?  If your unemployment check is THAT small...don't you think you should use it for things that are more important?  Or is it really the norm for the PRIVATE FORUM to just sign up knowing you are going to be late?  Or for the hostesses to allow that?  What the Heck?  Communication is not only the responsiblity of the swapper but the hostess as well...Why can't the hostess throw out a PM hey there has been an incident with a player it is going to take a bit longer...BUT NO...WE SIT HERE....WAITING...FOR WHAT?  I can't be certain I am going to get a swap back...I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN ONE BACK! I understand what you are saying...pick more important things to worry about.  Ok well here...if you placed an order some where and it was supposed to be to you around a certain date...and it didn't show...then you contact the company or person and ask where is my stuff and they say...HEY there are more important things in life than getting what you paid for.  How would you feel?  JIPPED...TICKED...IRRITATED...just a guess you wouldn't let that slide without taking actions.I have done things out of the kindness of my heart and I have made plenty of mistakes...ALL FOR WHICH I WAS CALLED ON THE CARPET FOR!  ALL FOR WHICH I TOOK RESPONSIBILITY FOR.  ALL I APOLOGIZED FOR AND FIXED MY MISTAKES AS BEST I COULD.I have NEVER said I was going to file mail fraud claims...it was a statement...an observation if you will....that they only time swappers see their stuff is when Charges are FILED...That wasn't a threat just an observation.I used to be in the Private Forum.  All the swaps I signed up for WAY back in MAY were pulled to the PF cuz of Drama...So AFTER I say my peace here on the Public Board...I got kicked out....YEP I SAID IT...FOR SPEAKING MY MIND.  FOR STANDING UP FOR THE HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS I HAVE INVESTED!!!  That is LOW...Apparently the only people that can be invited in to the PF are the people who don't mind a slow return and people who don't go against a particular hostess.  Just a warning to the other girls lost in that VORTEX...be careful what you say and who you say it to!  Now I am still in some PF swaps and have absolutely NO WAY to check on their progress other than contacting the hostess.  I think that is shady.  That says that the PF is not for the SWAPPING but for the hiding...the back handed comments that no one will ever see...except for the elite few.Ya'll created that PF so you could have a WARM and FUZZY environment...Why keep coming out here to add your two cents?  Makes me think you like the DRAMA...NENE was right...friends DONT let FRIENDS swap...too bad at the time my ONE friend here didn't know bout this so she could warn me.

Corriekate, I think you have every right to your opinions and I'm sorry you are getting the raw deal.Janette, everyone appreciates the work you have done, but it doesn't mean we are going to let it drop, when swaps aren't updated and we haven't got our swaps.  No, they are not as important as life and death, but that doesn't mean we should just not ask.  I'm a teacher...believe me when I say that I have done hundreds of good deeds which not only go unnoticed, but often I get griped at by someone who doesn't understand.  I know how you are feeling, and as I have said before, I'm sorry you have this headache, but you did take it on yourself.  Please just do everyone a favor and do your best to update the threads and communicate with us about what is being sent and when...then stick to it! A long, long time ago some hostess posted that all sorts of drama and problems can be avoided if we just communicate!  It is still true.  I would've never had a hand in stirring the pot if swaps which I had sent items for had just been updated, and if some pm's would come out every once in awhile without having to ask what's up.  I have been a big supporter of you helping Jamie, but even wholehearted support fades after many months of waiting.  Sorry if that seems unfair, but I am going to say what most are thinking.  I have always felt confident that I would get my swaps and I could wait, but the disorganization, failure to communicate, and constant excuses are beginning to wear away that confidence.  I have always been a proponent of swapping, but when I saw the mess that was happening, with all the flakers and the angeling needed, and the late swaps, I stopped signing up.  Just as Corrie pointed out, if you purchased an item from a store and it didn't get sent, way past deadline, you would question it.  You would not just sit back and take a wait and see approach, since you spent money.  Well, money has been spent on swaps and postage...quite alot as you know, so I am questioning.  I believe you had good motives at heart, but if it takes this type of prodding to move the process along, so be it.  One month turns into two and so on and so on.  I know how it can happen.  I get behind on my school work sometimes, because when I'm at home, I'd rather spend time with my family.  But, I am held accountable to finish by a certain deadline, and so I do.  If I didn't, there would be problems, questions, and penalties.  That's real life.I'm sure I will be talked about in the PF, but at this point I really don't care.  I will stand up for what is right and fair, and I refuse to sit the fence any longer.

I do need to clarify ONE THING...I DID ask a hostess to let me out of the PF...BUT ONLY AFTER MY SWAPS WERE IN MY HANDS...I wasn't trying to mis represent there...heat of the moment I guess...I want to Apologize for not including that part.Sorry if there was a misunderstanding.C

I am not in any of these late swaps but Corrie is one of my best friends and I have listened to her for months and seen how upset she has been over this. She put a lot into these swaps and has received nothing in return. She worked hard to help you. I have kept her name out of my posts because I did not want her to get any backlash..but she got it anyway..for simply asking for an update. Sorry, I am upset because I do not like to see people get walked over...especially my friends!Wanna talk about "high school".... kicking her out of PF when she is in the swaps is the most immature thing I have seen. All because she asked for updates. Then to have the audacity to come out here and complain about how you are being treated.... lame! How easy it is for you to say get over it when you are not the one waiting for months.The excuse about being out of work... ummm...that is not exactly a great excuse for not putting things in boxes and mailing them. And not having money to get stuff done... STOP JOINING AND HOSTING SWAPS! Instead of getting this stuff done, you are busy searching for every new line to host and swap.  If someone had a serious issue in their life, I think that would be understood, but the ones you are giving don't exactly mean anything when you continue to host and swap...And like Corrie said...if you ordered something, then months later you still do not have it...customer service says "with all that is going on in the world and in peoples lives, don't you have something better to do than gripe about this? you will get it eventually"...would you just take that?This is not directed ONLY to you Jeanette (cuz you didn't create this mess, but you got yourself into it...) but to that super hostess that hides behind you.    

I totally agree with Corriekate and Laura.  It's ridiculous for swaps to be 4 + months late.  Giving a couple of weeks exception is one thing but when people are just now getting back swaps that were due in May or earlier that's a bit much.  Many of the hostesses EXPECT us as swappers to keep them up to date, but then they don't reciprocate.  What's up with that???  I'm currently late in two swaps. . . I've been in continual contact with both of these hostesses.  I would not blame one of the hostesses for not waiting any longer on me and sending out the swaps.  And, if that means I'm banned from her future swaps, so be it.  Unexpected things have happened in my life, that I didnt' expect at the time I signed up for the swap.  But is it right for me to hold up all the other swaps.  NO WAY!!!  It isn't their fault that I haven't followed through.  It's mine.  Now, that being said, one of the late swaps will be postal by the end of the week.  Also, let me mention that both of these swaps were due in the month of November, so while they are late, they aren't super late. I think maybe some of the hostesses that seem to be unable to keep up with the swaps they are doing should not try to do so many swaps at a time.  I don't know how you do it . . . oh wait, you're not, because these swaps are MONTHS and MONTHS and MONTHS late, so obviously those hostesses can't handle the load either.

Linda,I was simply referring to your statement "why keep this going?"  My answer to that is  . .. to be able to express opinions over this topic.  That's all.

Ok… I have been quiet for a very long time, I watch what is being said and I never reply, Because I too am guilty of being late once in awhile, by late I mean a few days but still late non the less. You are totally right there are better things to gripe about. If this was the case, cancer and death etc., then a pm briefly explaning should have been sent to the players.  There are many things going on in our lives, TRUE.  But from what I have read communication was requested it wasn't done. I think nearly 10 months is a long time to wait for a swap, I have looked up the dates as to when the person you are upset with senther stuff, she is very prompt and I can understand her frustraition.  I am sure I will be tossed out and everyone be upset with me too, but all she asked for was info repeatedly, no one replied to her.  So she just made the comment about "I guess the only way things get sent is if you say mail fraud"  She didn't say she was going to file mail fraud. I am so upset with the way things have  gone , ACOT used the highlight of my day, now it just brings me saddness and misery.  I wish things have not had to be played out this way but I guess it was the one way she saw fit to get a reaction since she had repeatedly asked for info. I am not doing this to be spiteful or bitter I am just doing this to bring order back to why we are here.  How in just a few months has everything gone to HELL.  WE are here to scrap and swap and there are rules and thing we should try our best to follow, yeah life happens but let communicate.  A pm can save alot of hurt which I clearly have read all over this board.  * edited for a brain fart....

corrie--just want to let you know that i am still waiting on one person to send me the paper for two of the swaps. i think there is one, too, that has a made item. i probably have enough stuff at home to make those. btw, how did you know my unemployment check was so small?? pahahahahahahahah!!!

linda...why keep this going?  WE didn't start this thread. you'll have to ask janette why she wants to keep it going?as for problems in swaps it happens, people lose jobs, have medical problems etc. and that is understandable, i know a lot of hostesses who have used the phrase "communication is key" and that goes both ways. (jaime has been keeping me up to date lately and giving me a play by play...so i'm good with it) but i understand how frustrated girls were getting by not getting any answers...just a simple "i'm having issues and problems and need extra time " goes a long ways but when you repeatedly ask for updates and they aren't given and your stuff isn't updated it's frustrating.  even if janette's kindness for sorting jaimes swaps and making the extra items...just keep in communication with the girls and all is good, but when the only communication are these kind of posts girls get upset and people say stuff.  Girls were promised swaps a few months ago and some still don't look updated, that is why they are having a problem with it because they havn't been given an explanation that is reason enough to hold them up that long or not be updated. if it's a private reason fine say it and don't explain it but if there is a med issue or something just let someone know.janette you took alot on with all of the swaps and i couldn't imagine the chaos of all of it, my hats off to you for trying to tackle such a big project. everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect, i think all the girls were looking for was more communication, like what is expected of them, that's all ( well and threads to be updated, then you wouldn't be badgered or jaime with pm's)
