1 lb. ground beef (browned and frozen)1.5 cups of medium egg noodles1 can of mushroom soup1 tsp. garlic salt1/2 cup of sour cream (I use lowfat....still tastes yummy)Thaw ground beef in a saucepan on the stove. Stir in mushroom soup, 1/2 can of water, garlic salt and sour cream. Cook noodles according to package. Serve with noodles, then stroganoff sauce topping them. Or, mix it all together and serve!Serves 2-4...depending on portion size. Usually, here, it serves 2 and I have a little left over for lunch the next day.

Have you tried freezing it with the beef and other ingredients mixed together?

Actually, yes, but the noodles get very mushy. You could probably go ahead and do the sauce together and freeze it. Then, all you need to do is boil the noodles and heat the sauce.
I make this too - but dice onion in with the hamburg and drizzle in some worchestire sauce.
Sometimes, instead of making the noodles I just add a can of instant rice.

I made some stroganoff this week with left over roast beef.
