Hey, Scrapbooks etc. friends, it’s time for another On Assignment challenge. I must admit, this challenge is a bit different than others we’ve done, and I just can’t wait to try it! To start, let me ask you a question: do you enjoy any other crafts besides scrapbooking? I enjoy jewelry making and sewing, but I’m also thinking about taking up crocheting too. There are so many different crafts and endless ways to be creative! As a fun challenge for you and me, I’d like to mix apples and oranges. We would love to see how you would incorporate one of your other craft hobbies into your scrapbooking. Do you like painting, drawing, knitting, clay sculpting, beading, stenciling or other crafts? Think of a way to include that know-how on your page. I sew on my scrapbook pages all the time, so I’m eager to try something different this time. Maybe I’ll give that crocheting a try.
After you create your page, feel free to share it with others in our On Assignment gallery here at the Scrapbooks etc. website (I’ll post a link to that gallery once it’s set up). I gotta tell ya, I love seeing what everybody creates! And if you post your page by December 7th, you have a chance at getting published in the August 2011 issue of our magazine. Soon after the deadline, we’ll select pages for publication, and if you’re selected, I’ll email you to let you know the exciting news.
