Just finished this book on tape by Margaret Maron. I started the Deborah Knott series a year or two ago with one of the later books. I decided I'd better start back at the beginning and get the whole story. I love that the series is set in North Carolina and I'm familiar with some of the places she talks about in the book. I love that Deborah is a "don't mess with me" kind of woman who always manages to find herself in the middle of some mystery--usually involving a murder. AND she is the one who gets all the pieces put together in the end. Every book in this series that I've read (or listened to) surprises me in the end. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, Maron throws in some curve. Fun reading!
