What I've been reading lately

I've not been on here in a while. I've been trying to focus on work and family--the important stuff. I have gotten a good bit of reading done, though. Here's what I've read in the last couple of weeks:
Paperbag Christmas - get this book and read it! Simple story but so heartwarming.
The Shepherds' Prayer - a little bit of imaginative storytelling on what things might have been like for those around Bethlehem when Jesus was born. A little simplistic, but enjoyable quick read.
Divine Justice by David Baldacci - another "OMG, I hope none of this is really true" kind of thriller. Further adventures of John Carr, aka Oliver Stone, and the Camel Club. Good book.
Cross Country by James Patterson - this continuing story of detective Alex takes him to Nigeria, Darfur and Sierra Leone and exposes the horrors there. Not for the squeemish. Much of this, I'm afraid, is true to life.
Now, I'm going to read the classic I promised myself I'd read this year--Jane Austin, Pride & Prejudice.
Happy reading!
