I saw this book when I was on business travel last month, but it was only being sold hardcover and I didn't feel like lugging that around with me on my trip. So when I saw it at the library the other day, I snatched it up. Loved it so much I didn't sleep much last night, I read the whole book in one day! I guess it's the second one in the series, I need to find the first one, because the main character is really likeable and there are some really funny parts in the book. Samantha is a junior staffer in the White House, working for the Vice-Pres. When it becomes apparant that there is a leak in the administration, and more alarming, that there are secrets to leak, Sammy finds herself more involved than she'd ever expected. Combine that with her steamy but inconvenient relationship with a member of the press, and it could all spell trouble for Sammy if she doesn't watch her back. I ignored some of the more pointed remarks that appear to have been directed towards my political party leaders, that way I could fully enjoy the book without feeling insulted. I loved all the poltical intrigue that kept you guessing on the leak and on the administration.
I just finished Sammy's Hill - loved it. Definitely recommend that you read these in order - Hill first, House second.
